I'm building a powerpoint-esque thing in flash (because power point is a worthless POS) and im having my slides...well slide. It's was working out all fine and it had a nice smooth elasticity boucne to it's slide...and then later on down i noticed it went from a smooth 30fps...to a jerky animation. I made a test copy and started ripping out pieces to see what was causing this lag and i cant find it. Is their any way to see what is specifically eating up the memory? Or could it just be my program got fucked up and im SOL?

Not really, you're taking the most logical approach. What specs does your PC have? Are you sure there's not a different program lagging your CPU (check task manager/CTRL ALT DEL)? Are you using code or tweens for the movement? Are you using large bitmap images, or vectors? Complicated text, lots of alpha layers?
