I had to watch these in elementary school, and we'd laugh about it every time...

I remember this show. They used to show it in rench class during elementary school. We were supposed to learn from it, somehow.

It doesn't HAVE to be in French. You can do whatever you want really. And jibberish is actually way funnier than French anyway.

But when I watched the first episode the Pineapple strongly reminded me of the Funzo dolls from the Simpsons. I haven't thought of a definite joke yet, just wanted to run that by you guys to see if you thought it had any potential.

That's funny, because so will I. I don't speak a lick of french, so expect nothing but americanized french jibberish from me... unless I contact someone to speak it for me or something. Who knows.

I'm sure it has potential, it's just how you handle the material. If it's going to be an endless string of quotes from the Simpsons, though, I'd not do it. Like I said, original humor is better than references. Sure, it's a parody, but still... reference too many things and soon you got Family guy on your hands, you know?

Well, perhaps you could work with someone or provide a voice for someone. Not sure who'll need it, but once we know who's in we can ask around then.

Well, while I can only provide some voices (although I'm not the best), pretty much, I'll see what I can put together in terms of scripts. I'd really like to be able to participate in this collab, and it would mean a whole lot to have a collaborative flash under my belt :)

You can be a translator. Have someone send you their script, you provide text translation and a voice file as a pronunciation guide (but not for acting purposes).

As much as I would like to make a part for this, I can't. I've got too much on my plate right now to get into the whole business of writing/rewriting scripts, finding sound effects, selecting VAs, and the repetitive use of ctrl+Z while trying to get that little bit of animation juuuuust right.

HOWEVER, I am willing to offer animation assistance to people who need it. I can only do a little bit at a time for one person at a time, though. PM me if you need some help, and I'll fill in the details.

I know some French, but I'm only in French 1B right now. I haven't even entered high school French...

It's alright man, there's enough of us that know French I think. I did high school French and I just know all that basic stuff too. And when in doubt, a French dictionary is the way to go. I hope no one uses those translation pages though if they're trying to be accurate. Those tend to be WAY off. People can ask me too if they're having troubles. No worriessssss. :]
