I just voted and shot down your competition... The good thing is, is that when you search for all the WAC Comp. people... You show up first, so I think you have a slight advantage.

Thanks everyone. Though... I really don't know what just happened. I was like only a couple of votes ahead of him, now I'm 50... yet I have a half star less than him. Even with newgrounds, my score has been steadily dropped. What's the deal?

This may have been asked before, but HOW exactly is the winner chosen?

I once entered a video competition, and the public vote only counted for 10 per-fucking-cent, with the judges at 90%. I'll five you regardless, but I'm curious.

Hmm.. If they look at votes and not at the quality of votes they're getting (like how many stars) then maybe. But Im talking about rating the movie, it will give them a vote, but a negative vote. I hope they don't consider any vote a good vote. If NG ran that way nothing would ever get deleted lol

i watched about five-ten seconds of actual footage (not that intro) of each video, and while yours looks a bit more professional than most, its not really the best. his on the other hand, looks like something i would shoot at home but with a higher quality camera.

I'll find out tonight who won, and I dont really know what to expect. I just don't trust youtube. As of right now, I still believe I'm in 2nd, but I just won't be hugely surprised if youtube was wrong with what they showed us, I dont know.

I am hoping there was some sort of underground secondary judging taht might happen, but I don't know of that either. Let's pray for a miracle, but either way I'm forever in newgrounds' debt.

Welp... last night, just before voting ended, a big ass downvoting session was saved up for me in which I received at least 200 votes of probably nothing but 1's because my score not only went down half a star, it even pushed me out of second place.

Newgrounds, thank you for all of your efforts, I thank you so much. Because of you guys, I was able to almost get 1st and because of an assholish technicality... I got 3rd. But thank you for the helping my chances. Maybe someday I'll have a fair chance at entering a contest with real judges and that isn't on youtube's terms. Thanks again, and don't sweat it, it was bullshit from he start. Thanks.

Great. Biased and subjective judging coupled with an abusable voting system pushed you back from your 1st place prize.

Personally, I feel your video was better. It was funny, you showed your true personality, and the camera angles were all appropriate and not shaky.

Your opponent's was good... but not as good as yours. It was poorly acted, with little to no real character or emotion, and the whole "looking for a dollar" thing didn't make sense. He was also extremely shaky with the camera.

Had this been a contest where professionals decide on the fate of the videos, the story may have been different. I honestly feel true anger that an injustice like this has occurred.

You may not have to give up... you could appeal the situation to whomever is holding the contest... and tell him the bias and lack of objectivity that a YouTube rating system can have.

Well, that could be expected though. There is no way an honest competition can be held on a public website with a gigantic userbase. It's just like our idols, it's now about how you sing, it's about who you know (Or actually, who knows you).

If this was an honest battle, you would've won for sure, since yours was definately better than his.

All of your competition sucks, bad! if you don't win i'd say someone cheated...
