Come on guys. Let the n00b rant and rave. If he can't even animate FBF then he is in no position to be un-recommending CS4. And what's this about SwishMAX? That's just a dumb knockoff of flash. If you can't figure out how to use flash, don't just say "flash sucks", LEARN HOW TO USE IT.

WHAT I FUCKING MEAN IS THAT THE ONLY WAY TO LOOP ANIMATIONS ON ADOBE FLASH CS4 IS TO PASTE SPRITES FRAME BY FRAME UNTILL YOU DONT NEED THEM ANY MORE
this tutorial shows you every thing you can do with swishmax
go to animation and compare how easy it is to animate with this than with adobe flash cs4 :(

People hate new versions of programs because the simple differences scare them off.
#include <stdio.h>
char*p="#include <stdio.h>%cchar*p=%c%s%c;%cmain() {printf(p,10,34,p,34,10);}";
main() {printf(p,10,34,p,34,10);}

You press f8. make it a movie clip. then animate fbf inside the movie clip. the animation will play as long as the movie clip is present on the stage. so by doing that you could make it loop....

I think I know what you are saying,
So in a movie clip if its animated, if you paste that movie clip in the next keyframe, it wont pick up from where it left off in its animation, it will just restart from the beggining.
Don't get mad if I'm wrong, Just trying to maybe help some people understand

Is somebody confusing movie clips with graphics symbols? Or are they using graphics symbols and have the properties set for "single frame" rather than "loop" or "play once"?
I mean, you can also draw some stuff, press F7, draw some more, press F7, repeat for a while, and you have frame-by-frame stuff. I don't know what's going on here. CS4 works the same as the older versions, just with a new kind of motion tween that really confuses people at first. The old motion tween's still there, just called something different now.

why would you remove the other frame?
okay like they have said before, flash can make FBF loops. all you do is make a movie clip. double click on that movie clip and there should be another timeline. animate on that timeline. put the movie clip on the main timeline (the stage), and it should work. if you test the movie in the stage it won't look like it's working but if you CTRL-enter or export it then you will be able to see the loop.

I think CS4 is underrated, to me the only bad thing about it is the layout change.
