Sheesh If the FIRST ENEMY'S are this hard to kill I cant imagine how fucking hard the later enemy's and bosses are.

This game has put me off collecting medals.

I enjoyed the others, but this one is balls. You die in like, 3 hits on easy mode, the second level is impossible on easy. And you get hit EVEN WHEN you're hitting an enemy. So then you start to use the guns, which takes you forever.

When I saw it in the portal I was like, "Oh snap medals" And I favorited the game. May I suffer the consequences of this decision. Donovan, if you're reading this thread, keep in mind your credibility for game making has hit rock bottom.

I thought the game was quite enjoyable.

Clearly this guy has never heard of Ideas like "cooldown and recovery time" Why can enemies STILL hit me while I'm hacking them over and over again? They ignore ALL damage just to swipe at you with a move that removes 1/3 of your life.

I think that's about the only relatively easy medal to get. As for the rest, i'm going to keep trying, for now....

I did try to make a decent game . i dunno maybe i need to play more games like i used to

unfortunetaly I dont wanna do this anymore anyways. im kinda tired of morons like you guys
like seriously you can have talent but ill be nothing more than an artist i have some ability to program but i just cant keep up and have a life at the same time.

Im trying to fix the game up is good news i suppose. Im not much of a quiter i will continue to try

Or maybe i should just team up with a programmer.

Whatever either way i suppose i can still feel good that i did try maybe. or maybe that i do have a life a girlfriend and i do have regular sex unlike some patrons on this thread.

so is this game supposed to be like Devil May Cry or something? It sure seems that way...

Well, I just got past level 1 and that was just boring, nothing to it, all I did was shoot and dodge, got a C.

I used the same strategy. Once the exploding demons show up, all you can do is shoot at them. Get too close, the grab you and explode, kill them directly, they explode anyway.

And as for the duel wielding demon things, all they do is block block block, and hit hard.

And one of the medals is to get an A+ rank? Hahaha, ha.

Dizimz if I could just give you a few suggestions. Take away enemy's ability's to knock you down. Take away some of their attack power, they are to strong. Lastly fix the jumping. When in mid air I can't change direction, plus there are some other jumping related glitches.

If you make these changes and fix the problems then the game will be pretty good. Sorry about some people acting as harsh as they were. Truth be told I think your art is pretty good.

A majority of the medals are to get A+ and to not get hit, I guess not getting hit is possible on level 1, but level 2 is a mess.

There are lots of aspects of this game that can altered to favor someones abilities, but i think that, if we really want to help make this game a little more enjoyable, we have to list some basic suggestions for Dizimz to apply.

Let's start with the first complaint
1. Lessen the amount of damage dealt by enemies
2. First noticeable glitch; Falling off the screen in the first level.
3. More variety of medals

i guess you weren't calling me an asshole, i guess i over-reacted.

anyway, heres what you should fix about the game, Author:

- enimies need less health, it should take 100 hits to kill them. generic enimies are SUPPOSED to be pushovers.

- they also need to do less damage, they can kill you in 3 hits.

- each panel in the opeing comic should have its own page.

i would fix all these things one at a time and upload the updated game after every fix.

Level 2 is easy if you know how to do it, I've got both level 2 medals but one is broken :(

I didn't HATE playing it, once I figured out dying doesn't reset anything I could see it becoming much easier as you upgraded (which it does, at least in terms of the first difficulty level). Still, it's kind of annoying.

Well, obviously it's the medals-hype. If there had been no medals, this thread would not exist. It would have gotten similar but perhaps not as enthusiastic reviews. So far the games with medals have been quite pro, and well done in terms of bugs and shit. This was the first game to really come up short, so people are all >:|

I tried for about 2 hours last night to get past that first level, but I think the first post in this thread pretty much sums it up.
For everyone that used to complain about Portal Defenders being difficult, well.... This is the stuff nightmares are made of.

Yeah, I've gotten some medals, and It took me 3 hours to get what I have.

Some of the medals don't work at all though, I got my weapon to level 10 and nothing.
