A question to all guitar players, what's your favorite chord and why?
Mine has to be G, it's just so nifty to replace it with D.

Any open chord on a well-chosen drop tuning. Twelve string acousic outfitted with nylon strings.

I thought I would hear more "F" 's (since It's like, favorited by punk rock-rock music players, right?) , even though that's the hardest chord for me to play >.< .

That's my first chord, the days were I could only create songs with E;Em;Am;G;D...

I don't favor F, and I listen to punk rock. However, I find myself playing F in a lot of different songs...
G and A minor are my two favorite chords to play.

G and A minor are my two favorite chords to play.
In some certain songs, A is my replacement for F, since it's also a chord used in punk-rock-rock songs.

It's not really a chord... but the sound of the plastic pick brushing against my low e (tuned to C) string at the exact same time the rubber beater of the drum kits slams into the skin of the bass drum makes me want to cream myself.
It's such a nice, solid-sounding 'thud'...

I'd have to say E minor deminished, great for Danny Elfman style peices, even on guitar.
Does sound a bit odd if you try and use it with a normal song though, as i often do sometimes (I have a bit of trouble remembering which chord is which)

F chord. It's so mysterious when you give it a pluck. It's got this mystical trance over me whenever I play it I can't quite describe it. Like when the pie piper plays his song to lure mice out of their homes or bagpipes on st. patty's day, it's enthralling I have to say.
