It's obvious that making your own drawing are so much better because you actually put effort into it and spent time on it.

In the end it'll always be drawing. However to be successful with sprites you have to have a good storyline.

Which is practically impossible because all sprite movie seem to have the same, exact, fucking plot.
Did somebody say, "supar ultimate sonic vs mario vs goku battle pt 1"
Whereas full drawing take time, effort and skill. And is what defines the quality of an animator.

Personally, I prefer drawing, but it's not like there's no such thing as a good sprite or stick movie. That MK3 vs SF3 movie is pretty ridiculous, and done really well. I've also seen some pretty cool stick movies. There was a gladiator stick movie in the portal last week that was very high quality. Guy turned into a dragon at the end...authors name was like Endo or Onda...I can't remember. Good stick flick tho.

Its just three different styles.
I personally like drawing out characters and sometimes love sprite based animation or animations that are pixel art.. I believe some one how has a good command over their animation skills can make anything look well animated, even using basic lines or sticks.
Flash is just one of the mediums used to create animation, for example South Park .. even though it looks like its just basic cut out animation , is actually made in Maya since the guys created were very familiar with Maya and used that.
Cheers

Hand drawn animation is always much more visually entertaining. I very rarely see a decent sprite animation, sticks often seem to end up as a "half-assed" effort where the animator does draw his/her own work but doesn't put effort into the drawing. On that note, I have seen some very decent stick animations. Some things that can make a stick animation decent are detailed backgrounds, good visual FX, good audio and sound FX, and very fluid movement.

Not even remotely close.
It takes a whole lot more effort to draw in pixels, let alone animate with them well than stealing graphics with sprites.

You and your fetichism, always defending pixels, aren't you? Haha, agreed anyways, spriting is just riping other people's graphics. There should be some copyright law against it, that'd be awesome.
