The same thing happened to my girlfriend when she broke up with her ex. Her mom kept bitching, saying how she knew it was going to happen, and how my girlfriend never did anything for him; even though she had just recently gotten him a Nintendo DS, and she didn't bother to ask for it back (didn't want to talk to him).
Mothers are too protective of sons, usually.
