Serves him right, speed limits are there for a reason, especially in a zone with a low limit.

Low limits normally indicate residential areas, and residential areas mean children.

Imagine how different this would be if he'd killed a child? i'd like to see you sympathising for him then.

Jesus christ, if they didn't want people to drive so fast why don't they just limit how fast the actual car can go?

they don't care about the safety, they just want to improve their economy

So.. he's a millionaire, he was speeding, and he's complaining?

I understand it's very expensive but he has over 2 million euros (he sold his shares for over million, I assume he spent approx 1m already at least) so 100k is not out of his reach. He knows the laws, he shouldn't have been speeding :P

I suppose if he can prove that speed detection can be off by a few m/ph then he could possibly get his fine reduced but that would probably cost a lot though it would be a landmark case and he could make a bomb by selling his story.

Seems fair to me.

He knowingly broke the speed limit. I like the idea of charging them based on their day check.

Fairer for those who can't afford it and painfuller for those that are swimming in it.

I agree that a millionaire shouldn't complain about such a fine, but you should know that even if it was an unemployed 20-year old, it would be the same amount. At least the northern Europe has almost no traffic accidents due to speeding, but that's kinda the only positive thing.

Finland has great justice! Think if America adopted those speeding laws, there would be a whole shit load less speeders.I say we should get Obama to annex these laws.

tl;dr, copy the the Finns
