Alright guys, so here's an idea for you. I've heard this Coldplay song quite a bit, and I can't shake the idea of a collaborated music video to it. It's called "Don't Panic". Google it. Obviously it's on the more serious side of collabs and I would only want people who would really commit to this type of animation. I think there's so much violence and other typical flash animations here on Newgrounds, that it's good to change it up and have something new.

So, create something that you think is beautiful in the world. This is a very broad subject, so use your creativity to come up with something original and with a lot of imagery. Let your creative juices flow.
Here are some of the ideas I had in my head that you guys could stem off of if you want. You're not limited to just these.

Growing trees
Animals
Nature
Birds
Humans interacting with each other
Manmade objects, such as skyscrapers, huge buildings

I'm thinking 10-15 Parts, depending on how many of you all decide to join. Everyone could get about 15-20 seconds.

24 fps.
White background.
Default flash size.

No sprites
No crazy violence
No sex (making out is fine)
No cock jokes

Send me your ideas, and I'll okay them. I'm not too picky, as long as it fits with the mood of the topic.
I'll pick the best 15.

Oh, and I might need someone to help out a little bit with the menu screen. I know basics, but if we wanted to spice it up hit me up.

It means you don't have a batting average. You need at least 3 submissions or something like that (I'm not sure) to have one.

It is weird, you should have one.

Manually calculating your BA gives about 3.36 though, the rules says 3.50, but I would be surprised if the mods wouldn't let this one go. It looks promising :)

However his most resent movie is amazing so I doubt this should be much of an issue.

I just PMed a moderator so hopefully we can get this to go through. I don't think it should be a problem, especially if we can all submit quality work.

Yeah this is a serious collab. It can be mildly silly, but for the most part pretty serious. I'd say if we get enough people to participate, I'd give you all about a month to compose something. I know people have busy schedules, and I would be willing to extend some time as well.

Great. I am certainly SURE you'll get the thumbs up for this, and I already have a great idea for it.

This looks like a great idea. I listened to the song, and I think it'll be great. I'd be happy to join.

However, I think to make it a slightly better collab which flows better, allow me to make a few suggestions:

+Make a background that runs throughout the whole thing. I'd suggest something textured, like paper, fabric, or wood.
+Use a colour scheme for the whole thing. For this, pronably something earthen, like browns, yellows, dark greens, etc.

You obviously don't have to use these ideas, but I think it would improve it. I can see this looking something like this:

That idea would've been good some months ago, however it is cOLD now. Good suggestion anyways...

I didn't want to bite off of the "In My Arms" video, but to tell you the truth that's sort of the direction I wanted to go with on this. Instead of that parchment paper look, what else would you suggest? I think maybe the fabric look would be a good substitute.

You should really be more specific on how many parts and the length of the parts if you are planning on running this collab to a song. The reason for this is you will get a bunch of stuff and it will not be the same length of the song. Of course you can cut it back a bit and stuff but the reality is you will struggle to fit all the content you have in the song OR struggle to get enough content to fill the song (a less likely problem I presume). So stating how many parts and the length of each part will restrict people more and make it much easier to time in with the length of the music. If you want to get right into it you could even go ahead and cut up the song into segments and post them for downloading for the people who wish to take part. That way it will be precise and there will be absolutely no room for error.

Yeah I'll eventually break down the parts of the song as we get a solid group of people. First I'd like to get a good head count of who really wants to participate so we can move forward.

This is why you should break it up and post the parts first... how can anyone reserve a spot if they don't even know what the spots are. I don't know which mod/s you've asked for approval, or if they've given it, but this seems pretty unorganized and poorly planned out.

I would love to join this collab. The fact that there's a Coldplay song I actually like must mean I should join this, plus I've already got a great idea.

I would like to see the song split in parts first though to get things organized (like ReNaeNae said), then I'm willing to join.

I know some of the parts are pretty short, and there's not a lot of spots, but I broke it down the best this way. Whoever decides to do that ending part, I want it to be strong. A good solid and catchy ending. We should end with a bang.

I think I didn't tell you the right timing for my part. I was checking out the Youtube Version which is 2:39 long, and I'm guessing the version you go by doesn't have the weird intro the Youtube version has.
If you check out the YouTube version, you'll be able to see which part I mean; It's from 0:56 till 1:16.

I like the wood. The papyrus isn't horrible, but it looks slightly manmade, and I don't think it'd work.
