Carrot Leaf Troubles

So I was drawing this cartoon carrot, and things were going pretty well, but when it came to drawing the leaves on top, I got stuck. I've been fiddling around with it for quite awhile now, any ideas?

Maybe try looking at some actual carrots and taking your ideas from there. It should look slightly celery-like, but alot shorter.

I tried it out. Its not quite what I was going for but it looks ok. Any other ideas?

Well, your carrot is too jagged at the top for that look to work. I'd say round out those corners at the top of your carrot. Maybe even add a few lines across for depth.

Something like this. Note the lines in red are what I added.

I think the leaves you drew look perfectly fine, you're going for a cartoon look not photo-realistic, so it doesn't matter if they look exactly like carrot leaves, what's important is that we understand that it's carrot leaves

Thats good advice. Thank you. Anyway I did try rounding off the corners, but then it looked like the face didn't match, so yeah, I'll think I'll leaf* it at that.

Are you gonna add the horizontal texturing lines though? What do you think of those?

Hmm, I see your problem here... tried some things on it myself, but couldn't really make anything work. Sorry, you'r on your own here.

You can try something like this;
Keep it simpler, since the carrot itself is pretty simple, and roughly drawn, which makes it more "cartoony"
| Excuse the MS Paint, just used it since it's way faster.
