Jesus Christ. That is probably more than any of those rich assholes made while in Africa. The money could have actually been donated in this situation, and fed families for years. But no, these pricks needed that private jet so they could leave in luxury. Might as well have burned the fucking money.
"It's brilliant to be back. We spent the week in hell." A WEEK. POOR YOU. AT LEAST YOU GOT TO TO RIDE IN A £50,000 JET ON YOUR WAY BACK TO YOUR MANSION, I HOPE THAT MAKES IT BETTER.

Yeah I agree. Unfortunately they're in a position to do that. Just goes to show it's for the public eye. At least they're doing something. I can honestly say they've helped Africa more than I have.

Jesus Christ. That is probably more than any of those rich assholes made while in Africa.
Did you even read the article past the first paragraph?
"The celebs, who raised £1.5million..."
So they raised £1.5 million for people who are poor as fuck and you're complaining that their friend spend £50,000 of his own cash to fly them back home?
Do you kids just sit around all day waiting for shit to complain about? "They were only there a week, WAH" ... they didn't HAVE TO be there at all in the first place, WAH.

lol yeah that's sort of what I was trying to say. They've done a whole lot more for Africa than all of us Newgrounders combined in one week.

Yes...Just because they raised money gives them the right to spend huge amounts of money on a ride back home, where they still have ten times more money than the amount they raised? Why not just donate in the first place, I see no point in raising money when they've already got a fuckload they could just give away.
Do you kids just sit around all day waiting for shit to complain about? "They were only there a week, WAH"
The celebs themselves complained they were there for one week.

People aren't going to pay to see non-celebs doing stuff. They're the only people who have the fame to pull this off.

All those rich fuckers should be stripped of their money. And the money should be used to help stop those pointless african wars, somalian pirates, african starvation, to get rid of AIDS and to help all the african countries get decent.

Wow you're fucking retarded, they go out of their way to do something for the good of humanity and you're bitching about how they traveled back home.
Hey, here's a great idea, why don't they build their own raft out of wood and paddle with round logs lololollololooloololollolololol....that way they'll save money to donate again lololololololololol.......
Fuck you're stupid.
What the fuck have you done for humanity other than engorge yourself with food that could have been sent to Africa to feed hundreds of people. I bet you use premium toilet paper too you selfish cunt. I bet half of you cloths were made in sweatshops by malnourished children.
You sir, are the lowest of all lifeforms.

If it's their money then YES, they DO have a right to spend it however the hell they want. Besides donating their time and safety, what is it that makes you think they HAVEN'T donated some portion of their own money too?
Their job was to compel LOTS of people to donate and they apparently succeeded.
You complaining about how they got home from doing that kinda makes you look like a douche.

All I'm saying is that the massive amount of money they unnecessarily blew on a ride back home could have also gone to the Africans as well.

Maybe you should feel like the biggest douche of all for not donating your time... OR your safety... OR your money... AT ALL... and bitching about how the people that DID donate those things just didn't really do enough in your eyes.

Why does it have to be their responsibility to fix the poverty conditions in a region they owe nothing to? Just because they have money they must now give it all away? Money that they earned, money that they will need to live off of once their music careers inevitably end. Money that will not solve a goddamn thing really since nothing short of a trillion dollars (or pounds) and serious agricultural/industrial revolution won't solve anything in terms of the conditions of the African continent. There isn't a band on Earth who's entire fortune is going to make a difference.
One day when you are a multi-millionaire, see how easy it is to just up and give it all away.
Let's face it, you're just being a wiener, complaining about something that is irrelevant and beyond your full understanding in the first place.

I'm more so bitching about what they did afterwards is what got to me. If I had money to just throw away like them, I would donate.

you just go after them when so many other celebs have done the same. like take for instance, i believe it was gene simons from KISS, he wanted his hat to be put in first class of an airplane to be delivered to him. plenty of celebs spend a lot on pointless thins. why? cause they can. not saying its right but it isnt something to get upset about. so they spent money on something pointless. what is done is done and crying about it wont change anything.

Yeah, see, you're also making the assumption that they didn't donate money too, which you don't even know.

1 ) It was likely out of their own pocket and not out of the donation fund.
2 ) If you have the money spend it, savers will be the end of the economy as we know it.
3 ) Shut the fuck up.

Africa is hell... so I took a large sum of money that could have been used to help make it slightly better and bought a trip back to the land of the wealthy on my private jet. I made sure to empty my on-board toliet over their village on my way back. Me doing charity work was good press though...
It's a shame rich people forget what it's like to be poor and sick.

I agree, Stephanos. He wanted to ride a fucking plane, and all of the BBS goes batshit insane. Why do you care what somebody else does with their own money? It's not the stupidest thing that's been done. Maybe they wanted to celebrate their accomplishment, and ride a fancy plain. Seriously guys. It's not the apocalypse.

I'm just suprised that Take That is not only still around but has any money left. They had only one hit (which I admit I absolutely adored and still do) and that was back in 1995.

Well, I'd have to say that at least they raised money for the cause. You can't shake a stick at £1.5 Million. And besides, it was £50,000 of his own money.
I'd be far more incensed if he paid for the jet with the charity's money.
