Hey Guys! I've been working on a game engine and it's time again to get you to give me some feedback to make me make you a better game. So obviously playing it would be good for me AND you. So play it.
Play it NOW!
Any Advice for powerups/bugs/music that would be good/other stuff about the game would be much appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. The Brown Box breaks when you ram it at high speed in Heavy Form.
P.P.S. The lantern lights when you pass it in Hot Form.

Looks like a nice engine. Is it actually soft body physics? It's hard to tell =P
Sup, bitches :)

Highly doubt it. I've used pseudo-soft body physics as well as true soft body physics engines with my Xbox game development, and this looks definitely like psuedo-soft body physics.
Which means that the body graphics will react to walls and stuff in what looks like a 'soft body' way, but the actual physics isn't soft body, just your standard platformer physics.
But in this kind if platformer, you don't need true soft body physics :) It makes little difference really. The engine looks good! But the camera is very jerky when you jump.

Would suggest arrow key support as well as WASD. Otherwise, seems pretty smooth, with no obvious bugs.

You should make the bottom part of the blob react to slopes and edges. Some trigonometry knowledge will make it look loads better than it is.

Hey! Well... Yeah, it isn't exactly soft-body physics, but its as close as I could make it without making the whole thing lag like hell.
...the camera is very jerky when you jump.
Yeah, I'm putting in a slowly accelerating camera for the whole thing later on - but it's going to be relaive to the position of the mouse - like in Thing-Thing, where the camera moves near where you're aiming.
@Denvish - Yeah, I'm gonna put that in a bit later... after I've got the whole thing actually going nicely :D
@AnalogStick - Good Idea, I'll get right on it!

Tau'ri Bedrock uses proper soft body physics and that runs great. I've seen some other stuff Delta has shown me using soft and rigid body physics as well as destructible terrain, flock algorithms (I think it's gonna be turned into a sequel to Tau'ri Bedrock), all running silky smooth at 60fps.
Sup, bitches :)
