The Newgrounds 2009 Atlanta Meet!

Here is another great opportunity for everyone to get together and have some fun! Atlanta is a great city with plenty of things to do. Once we get the cast of people together we can try to see what we can do closer to the actual meet date. Atlanta has many bars, clubs, restaurants etc. There is also the Aquarium, World of Coke, a dozen concert venues and it is near Six Flags, so we wont be bored.

If you have ever visited Atlanta, you know that the hotel rooms are expensive as hell. I have arranged for everyone to get reservations at a hotel near the airport. We will be getting a discount rate of $56 a night! Oh, and this hotel has a restaurant/bar attached.

Yo don't HAVE to get a room here! I was just trying to make it convenient for everyone to be at the same place for the insanity.

I dont see any need for an age restriction as of yet. Once the event gets closer we can try to see what the exact time frame for events might be, and I am sure there may be some younger user entertainment available. So don't count yourself out yet!

If that is the case that is fine. I worked to set up this meet so that there will be another opportunity for people to meet. Georgia might be my home state, but ATL is a great city to visit with a lot of shit to do. I think even those who decide to fly/drive in from other states will really enjoy it here, and I know it will be a kick ass time!

Something I wanted to add about the hotel. The price I was able to negotiate leaves some of the poorer NGers, myself included, a great opportunity to DOUBLE UP on a room. This is also a great opportunity for those who live in Atlanta to also get a room. This way they can enjoy all the late night awesomeness without having to wreck up there own house.

*sigh*, until the date gets closer and we hammer out an official agenda, I am not going to set a strict age limit. Of course the little kids aren't going to be able to come to the entire meet, but we might have an event scheduled that they might enjoy, i.e. Six Flags or something. Like it or not this community has A LOT of under 18 members that contribute, some good some bad, to this site. I think at this time it is unfair to exclude them from the entertainment for the time being. Am I saying, "Hey little kids come get a hotel room and party with us!" - NO! I am saying that we might have some events that are ALL user friendly.

So it goes like this:

All three days: 18+

Certain events to be determined: all ages.
