I was surprised that my letter got into Nintendo power. If anyone subscribes to it anymore...
Mine was a letter saying how escape from new york and pulp fiction would be badass video games.
I didn't include my name though dammit! stupid, stupid, stupid....
So has anyone else ever gotten a letter put into a magazine or even a newspaper?
by the way I would've put this in the video game forums if it was actually abput video games, but it's asking a question unrelated to video games and nintendo power is about games,it isn't one itself.

Nintendo Power was one of several magazines I was subscribed to as a kid, before the internet really kicked off. Now I just don't have much of an interest for most magazines, except for when I'm waiting in the dentist's office, since everything and more can be found online. While sometimes a video game for example will debut first in a gaming magazine, Kotaku.com just posts about it immediately afterwards.

When I was like 3, someone took a picture of me and my mom at a strawberry field and put in the local paper.

Does the police blotter count?
I've also had my name in the paper a few times on other occasions- high school awards, a few cooking competitions at culinary school and once for best apple pie in the state of CT in the 2003 State Fair baking competition. Funny thing was I didn't even know I had entered. My mother just asked me for a pie once then took it over to the Orange county fair and it won, then I got sent to the state finals and won again. I still have the medal hanging on the fridge.
I never got the glass pie plate back, those bastards.

For some reason I can't help but feel that those two statemnets are some how related.

Back when they use to put user quotes on the bumps for Adult Swim they chose one of mine.
It was something like "Have you ever woke up blind, just to find a few minutes later that you're also missing your left arm?". They're response... something like: "No, but we don't drink Drain-O"
