Monitor Help!

Here's the thing. I was using my monitor to play some games and I was trying to adjust the brightness/contrast setting. when I hit the menu button, instead of the regular menu in the center there was some weird blue menu in the top right corner. one of the options was "Digital Brightness" (Gamma). I lowered this a bit and the colors weren't so saturated (I tried other options and none helped). now everything else is too dark. newgrounds used to be a medium grey, now it's almost black. anyone else have any idea what happened.

the monitor is an Acer al1916w.

I forgot to add, fiddling around with the brightness/contrast doesn't really help.

Try changing the gamma setting back to normal, then adjust the brightness.

Disconnect it and reconnect....
it works with mine

srry. i use an acer, and I can't figure it out. box monitors are easy though.
