My band's working on recording our EP, and we don't have drums mics. We figure that the easiest way to overcome this (and cheapest) is to do the drums electronically. We're putting the drum tracks together in Reason and Ableton Live, but we don't have the right kit sounds. Reason's favor a more electronic sounds, and Ableton is missing some key sounds. Just wondering where I can find some drum samples, preferably in .wav or .aif. I realize that they sell "refill" kits for this exact reason, but I want to try to find free alternatives first.

There is a "search" option on this forum, why not use it?
Have such a cute yellow button... Yellow is a happy color.
LOOK HERE what you would have find...
Anyway, HERE is the solution of your problem. Free drum VSTi and some links to drum samples (not really working with the plugin but are 24 bit wav format).
Cheers and use the forum tools, you'll have an easier life.

The search option is inadequate. "Drum" does not point me to .wav or .aif samples. That plugin you directed me to was a plugin, not a sample bank. I want to use them in Reason, not have to install some other plugin. Maybe next time don't be so rude when your solution isn't correct to begin with?
Anyways, yes I would like to have rock-sounding drums. As realistic as possible would be nice.

If you would read the thread that I linked here you would found THESE DRUM SAMPLES and there in the second folder (named "Ddrum wav 24bit 44khz") you have:
- Chris Pfannschmidt Set 24bit
- Cymbal 24bit include 2 China, 5 Crash, 6 Ride and 3 Splash.
- Dennis Chambers 24bit there are not photos of the famous drummer but samples of his custom drum kit, dry and wet samples, all with 6 toms and 2 snares
- Ludwig Vintage Set 24bit this is my favorite.
and so on... just in one folder you have 13 sets , hi-hats, cymbals, rims, toms... all sampled at 24bit, 44khz.
Instead of writing me how rude I am, you should click the links... at least this time.
And if I still seem rude, sorry, I'm just a Romanian guy living in Lithuania, trying to learn Russian cause in school I've learned French o_O

The "Fo Shizzle" kit is too electronic for my purposes.
And if you wanted to send me that link, why wouldn't you do that in the first place? I don't think it's efficient to tell someone to go through a mostly unrelated thread when you just wanted them to see a link that you posted 3 or 4 posts down. But thanks anyway
