Stage size needs to be one of the above, but can be any of them you wish. I imagine the smallest variant would be best for for the Newgrounds Portal.
And yes, Remember is still yours if you want it :)
I'll probably go for the largest size for the better quality. Does your flash recording software (whatever you use) count in lag to the avi. (or whatever you convert it into) as it would if you just watch it as an .swf? Or does it record with no lag?
The reason I'm asking this is because the larger the size... you know.
I would love to do this :3
I'm not a very good animator, not I can try, right?

It records it frame-by-frame, so no lag at all ;)

What program do you use to record, becuase I wanna make my own stuff on DVDs for friends.

I can't really give you an answer because you don't have any previous work to judge your skill on.

However if you want to make a video in your own right then feel free. I'd recommend waiting until April 11th though as that's when all songs will be finished.
Cool, I will give it a try if you don't like it, it's OK. Could I use Follow The Train?

Thanks Nuttro :)
Only 7 days now until the rest of the album is recorded! (but two weeks until animators get them)
Artwork for those doing the Close To Home video...
I've got the original Photoshop file too if you need it, but email me about that as it's massive :)

Is it the picture of the cover for the style?
Do you have a chosen style for Remember?

It's because they wanted to incorporate elements of the cover into the video, which was completely their idea. We only have artwork for Close To Home because it was a single, so we don't have anything for Remember.

Right, I'm going in to the studio tomorrow and won't be leaving until 11 tracks are 100% finished (11th April)
In that time I won't be able to log onto Newgrounds so if anybody wants to get hold of me then the email address is [ mrsai@openwindowrecords.com ]
Peace :)
We're in the studio at the moment working on some new tunes so I figured some of you may be interested in this:

Just to give you an idea of what to expect in the coming weeks ;) The clip is from "King Without A Crown" which strangely nobody is interested in doing. Personally it's my favourite track from the album.
Make sure everyone has uncompressed sound quality
1. Ctrl+Shift+F12
2. 'Flash Tab'
3. 'Set audio stream'
4. 'Compression' on 'MP3'
5. make sure 'convert Sterio to Mono' is unticked
6. 'Bit Rate' '160 kbps'
7. 'Quality' 'Best'
Confirmed:
Close To Home : Mexifly (Collab)
Remember : Nuttro
Desperate Days : Zappawadda
King Without A Crown : JENIUM (Live Action)
Mr Cynical : JENIUM (Live Action)
Uncomfirmed:
Vampires : Rudy (Collab)
Wait Patiently : JENIUM (Live Action)
The Rest:
Take This To Your Heart
Follow The Train
In England
Tea & Taxes

If a video is listed as "The Rest" or "Unconfirmed" it means the position has not been filled, or someone has expressed interest but has not yet decided whether to get involved or not.
We are ideally looking for 4-5 Animated videos, more than that could start getting costly ;) So be quick!
Peace
Just a quick post to prove we're still progressing nicely ;)
What's the pay? (Approximately)
I have 4 other artists participating in mine, so I have some people to make happy. :P

That one is still up for debate a little bit. I originally said $100 per video (as stated on page one of this thread) but I think you may have gotten a little bit confused and quoted "at least $50 per animator" to the people you're working with, which including yourself would bring the total up to $250 for one video. I can make an exception in this case because you are handling the project very well, and the interest from other animators is not as high as expected but anything higher than that is simply not possible for an independent band to fund easily.
Just a quick word on deadlines. The official release date of this album (currently titled "Take This To Your Heart") is 7th August 2009 (07.08.09 in UK date format). The videos would ideally be ready as quick as possible to act as promotion for the album, but the DVD is being sent to the publishers on July 5th so needs to be available by July 4th *latest*
Thanks to everyone helping us out! As always I can be contacted at mrsai@openwindowrecords.com

Totally understandable.
You should do fewer animated videos and more live action, because if people aren't going to show interest might bail at the last minue, so I would make some back ups.
I also think my video is kind of like your headline song, so frankly, I'm getting the best job done possible.

What file format do you want the video to be in?
That would be a huge indicator of what time i should instill a deadline among my minions. :P

Regular SWF format is fine. I use Flash 8 personally, but I suppose it doesn't matter unless I wanted to use the FLA file

Me too...
The music still isn't 100% finished but I will send all animators a copy tomorrow which is the final arrangement minus the mixing (the polish, so to speak). You will be able to replace this with the *final* version and everything will sync up perfectly in approximately 2 weeks time.
It's been a week since I posted so here's the latest update:

The songs are all done now and will be sent to animators ASAP
