Secret Medals

When it comes to SECRET MEDALS, I'll ask you to be vague at best. If an author makes a medal secret, they've done so for a reason. So do not discuss SECRET MEDALS to any specific extent.

I also got the Perfectionist medal. However, I only loaded the game as usual and then played mission 6 on mortal only. After beating mission 6, I saved and then closed the window. When I refreshed my medal page, it was there.

I deleted my save game a while ago since my brother fucked around with it to prevent it from looking like I'd cheated, but I got bored of playing through Level one enough times to afford some good upgrades again and I stopped playing.

on firefox: click tools, clear private data, cache

on IE:Tools > Internet Options > General tab > Delete Files button

This doesn't delete medals, right?

no your medals and save game will still be there

None of the three above methods worked for me.

I just deleted all temporary internet files and still can't get the medal.

I didn´t get the perfectionist medal either. I did get the M4 Honor Role medal from it, but that´s only worth 10 points. I tried the "beat level 6 on mortal once"-method and it didn´t gave me anything. Not sure whether clearing cache will work for me, but I don´t wanna clear wanna clear my cache yet. Not before I get slaugther master and tough guy.

Well it seems like a different method works for everyone for the perfectionist medal. Your just going to have to find out what works for you!

So I tried getting Perfectionist on my alt account using all of the above methods. Only mine worked where you start a new game with the aim to get that medal ASAP.

I highly doubt clearing cache will do anything.

The perfectionist medal is glitched up. This is something goldfish will work on in the future when he updates the medals system. just dont worry about it.

Its not glitching on NG's end. So an update in the medal system won't do anything. Its the the author who needs to update his game.

I got the perfectionist by just playing Mission 1 on Mortal, saving, then I just clicked "next" till the menu for Mission 2 showed up. Instead of playing it I just "X"ed out of it. THen the Medal showed up on my screen.

Wylo says it didn't work for him, but if I were anyone trying to get the medal, I would try this method first. If it doesn't work, Try Wylo's Method.

Sorry "life" for your problems, I hope you find a way to get the medal.

So PsychoGoldfish gets hold of the original flash file, adds in the push, the four or five lines/whatever of the Medal API, the medal names/booleans/etc with all the statthis && statthat = whatever = get.medal.whatever ?
The way the author of FU was talking, it was as if he was taking blame for the medals not working.

So now, the glitches in his coding that the medal stats revolve around need to be fixed. The medals aren't broken at all, it's his statthis && statthat = etc etc etc that need to be fixed so we can achieve the medals. I got it! Hee! Didn't realize it until now.

I just woke up and had my "morning" migraine meds at 3pm, so if I got any of the above wrong, oh well. :)

You are telling me NG magically codes in medals without any effort on part of the author? Yours may need to just send out a variable or two, but Fear features an in-game achievement list, I don't think NG codes that in. In fact, the in-game achievement list is bugged and may even be the source of the problem.

I've pinpointed down the problem to if you have the Sword Master medal saved, you will see the Perfectionist medal in the in-game list. So once you have Sword Master you can't get Perfectionist due to the game thinking you already have it.

So Wylo, was my above statement about the in-game && this != that get.medal push whatever stuff correct? Or just a another form of rewording of your post? :D

Because there's no problem server-side, it's in the code of the game that needs to be retooled.
I'd take a peek but I'm nowhere near that level yet. I used to do C++ so I could look around and try and spot problems, but that would be a fruitless endeavor since the author is doing so as we type. Hopefully. <3

Another method:

1) Remove your saved game file and back it up somewhere else.
2) Start a new game.
3) Choose mortal.
4) Get an A+ on the first level (using no upgrades or retries).
5) Make sure to hit save.
6) Close the game.
7) Reopen, select mission one on mortal again. (Should say you have A+)
8) Keep clicking next until you get to the final screen

I started new game and got A+ on all levels but i didn't get Perfectionist. Then i continued to play saved game (new one). On menu M6 Honor Role was unlocked. Then i quit game and refreshed page and i got bloody medal.

There's one problem with that method that I see. You don't get enough kills to get an A+ on mortal. You only get 25 which is a B rank.

When I deleted my savegame, I beat M1 with A+ on Slayer. Albeit you have to be very strategic, and you might take a few hits, but I got it done.

Well I am talking about the medal system outside of the game on the page above the authors comments. The NG medal system, not the game medal system. You email Tom Fulp a folder with all of the medal icons, the explanation of each achievement, and the XP points. Goldfish is coding my medals by himself, so I am guessing his extensive coding knowledge gives him the power to code all those medals. You cant get mad at him if he makes some errors out of everything he has coded heh.

But I dont know the situation for the Fear game, I am just talking about the medal system itsself.
