I have long ago given up on those Drop the Bomb medals. Medals that are purely based on luck are the worst kind. Those should get removed, not the hard ones that are based on skill.

They are the worst kind indeed...that game is really getting on my nerves every time l play it.
And what is this "bonus round" the 100 point medal is talking about?

Holy crap, people are still bitching about Lastman? Move on already. Personally, I pick that game up every few days when I don't have anything better to do, and kill myself about 20-40 times. It's a tossup between that and Pilgrimage. The ONLY problem I have with it is that your character has to accelerate in order to move, so jumping isn't always consistent; I've died more frequently from jumping without appropriate speed when I thought I had it than from any other cause

As for OCD+, how the hell can you not laugh? Seriously, if you can't laugh at yourself, you don't get to comment on humour. Ever. Besides, it took me longer to get 9000 kills in TTA3 than it took to get all the medals in OCD+ combined, as well as demanding more attention over that time. Just because you don't like a game doesn't make it bad.

Also, medals being in a game does not force you to play them. See all my Sonny medals? No? That's because I'm not playing it. Know why I'm not playing it? Because I don't want to, and nobody's forcing me to. Forcing someone to do something implies it's happening against their will. Since you are the only person who controls whether you sit down at your computer and start playing a given game, by definition the presence of medals does not force you to play it. It definitely incentivizes you toward playing it, but that's absolutely not the same thing.

Could you please stop arguing with logic here? It's about MEDALS man! All those shiny pictures FORCE us to play shitty games and find a setup to press the K button on our keyboard without us sitting in front of it. All we need now is a alarm clock so that we can take the weight off the key right in time.

Why should l laugh at myself?I got all the medals except the last one by using a "legal" cheat of some sort...so l should laugh at the author failing to troll me, but not at myself...
And why should you get 9000 kills it TTA3?There's no medal for that...only an in-game achievement....
Also, a game IS bad because l don't like it...well, at least it is to me...if it wasn't bad then l wouldn't agree with myself...

The entire discussion got stagnant right after the first time around. Can't we just agree that the game is hard, the medals are there to stay, and the only people who are going to get the Beetle Battle and the Go Home badge are Life and Wylo, then sit around twiddling our thumbs until the next medal game comes out?
Also, why is everyone using 11,000 as the boundary between hardcore and causal medal-getters? Why not just a nice even 10,000?

Well I've been out for awhile.. but I gotta say I'm kind of disappointed because now that I'm back for a little all I'm seeing are my favorite fellow medal getters fighting with each other over a game.. Yes the game is hard.. but yes it is beatable. Just like the Drunken Deity. It's true the controls are pretty unresponsive compared to other games of this genre but PiGPEN designed the game on purpose like that. Oh and everyone should stop talking about the ads. He exploited the medal system to expose his game and get more money.. so what? It costs you 5 seconds every 20 or some lives and it's not like he's stealing money from you, is he?

Look, we all know that we all LOVE getting medals... but if you can't get one that is POSSIBLE to get, don't complain that the game sucks. If you don't have fun, don't go for it. Likewise if it takes too much time for you, don't go for it! Hell, I have almost every medal, but if I'm not in the mood to play a game with medals based solely on luck (Drop The Bomb), then I'm not going to. And if I don't feel like playing OCD+ for three hours constantly skipping forward and backwards until the time goes fast enough for me to get the HUMAN TEST SUBJECT medal then you better believe your ass I'm not going to.

Some people have more time and skill to get every medal possible; the people without slowly fall behind. All I'm saying really is: STOP FIGHTING. Especially with each other over something so small and insignificant in our lives. And if you won't stop bitching back and forth and in circles with one another then at least take your scuffle to a different thread because for the past 3 pages I haven't seen anything useful concerning any medal games.. only small petty arguing over the quality of Lastman and PiGPEN's questionable ethics.

If all of you just back off the subject and leave whatever was last said alone without a response then all of this will just go away and this thread will actually have some sort of purpose and meaning to it again.

PiGPEN I find that Lastman is a good game. Not a game I would really play though, but from what I did play it seems very well done for what type of game it is. I know what game I'm voting as #1 for this month.

I just experimented myself with d-day defender and drop the bomb to confirm it as being true.

I think this might have already been fixed: I just tested on Pilgrimage, Crashing the Beard and Runes of Shellac and didn't get any extra points when I did my thing in the log.
