Anybody got any tips for how to beat up the big bad Hydra without doing more than 2000 damage (I know it's per turn, or so I've thought, but either way it seems impossible for me.)

1 leading strike, 2 disrupt, 3 reform, 2 crystallize. Don't attack the hydras at all. Let your teammates do it and keep their hp up. Make sure they only attack, because healing would just waste a turn when you could do it yourself. Crystallize the hydra and one of the claws so your team focuses on just one claw at a time and won't be barraged with attacks. Use leading strike on a crystallized enemy to gain back your focus, and keep yourself from doing damage.

When you get to the hydra, constanly use disrupt so it wastes a few turns charging itself back up. If you get into a tight situation, crystallize it and heal everyone and wait for your abilities to recharge.

I got the medal on challenging mode, because it was taking way too long in heroic.

I already said you can if you haven't played the game yet. You have to open two windows for the game at the same time, one where you skip the tutorial and the other you don't.

I find giving the user a choice of a medal is cool, a bit if personalization to the medal system. Although the one shot at a medal is gay and the if you don't get either you don't get one is gay.

Also you say a person can be either literate or illiterate is true but you can't be neither which is the whole reason I'm pissed about it. Also I'm pissed because the author is just being a major asshole about it. He's blocking people for bringing those medals up and he won't listen to anything anyone says. I say boycott any other games that asshole puts out, medals or not.

I guess the medal system needs some limit. I mean some kind of getting judged if the medals are working properly or possible to attain at all before the game gets medals officialy. If stuff like that "illiteracy" will continue to spawn it will become quite nasty...
Unfortunately, blamming is not enough since there is a little time to check it until submission goes trough...

This has been posted before (by me), but l'll tell you anyway: you have to drain his MP with some abilities..when it reaches 0, he will recover it but lose a large amount of health.

Stickya was still possible. I mean the medals that are totally blocked, like the Illiterate one, because that is nasty already.

I agree, it's not the most pleasant game ever, but once you get the hang of it it's not that hard. It's just frustrating when you get to the end with the balls and you're randomly floating in the air. That's where I get all my deaths from.

But if you follow life's guide you should be fine and be able to get the last medal. And the last boss is really easy, I never get killed. Hurry and grab the guitar, stick to the right platform, jump up and press 2 when he is getting close to coming up and close to you, that usually hits him twice and he doesn't hurt you. Rinse, Repeat.

I agree. Stickya Adventura was fun at first (you need 100 deaths for a medal anyways), and I managed to get the You Must Be Cheating medal on my fourth run through. When I first saw that medal I really did think you had to cheat, but I only lost about 14 lives on that run. Everyone is better at some games and worse at others. Now Drunken Deity is near impossible, but people do that. A medal which you are completely unable to get just seems annoying, even if the medal system were to be opened to everyone (and personally I'd like it to stay only for people who make their games good enough to be approved by Tom). I'd like to see the author of the game get all the medals, that should make it fair. >_>

THIS needs to be a requirement. I'm pretty sure the guy that did Sperm Destructor doesn't have the pancake medal. Neither does the Sonny 2 guy have his medals.

Honestly I agree 100%, also with the whole approved by Tom thing... that should stop the medal trolling that I am sure will see a lot more in the future.

I agree with you on the last point. It's crappy that if you click away the tutorial after 5 and before 12 seconds you don't get either medal and you blew your chances on getting one for all time.

The idea behind those two medals is still cool in my opinion.

I like this interactive thing. I remember the author asking about the trig bit (he was a little drunk, apparantly), but he pulled the whole thing off very well. I really liked the effect with the sky colour changing based on the height of the sun.

For 5 points, that was quite nice.
Also, swimteam, if you're going to complain, at least state WHY it shouldn't have medals. I think it is a simple but comedic interactive movie, and very fun for what it is.

I'm gonna go ahead and say the medal for It's a Nice Day Today is the most awesome one ever. Bar none. The mecha dress-up one concerns me though, since the medals are for making specific robots I've never heard of before. I'll have to dig in to that one another time.

Has anybody got the medal on Seed of Destruction getting 100 points on the Pancake Factory mini-game? The best I've gotten on that was 81. It seems like you don't get any buildup from the civilians till the very end.
