I disagree with getting rid of the medals for Fear Unlimited. There should be no scoring prerequisite for a game to have them. If there were a pong clone with medals, I wouldn't mind.

AS LONG AS medals across all flashes are fairly equal, (i.e they are not purposefully easy just to give away free points) then I am happy.

It doesn't matter if this games medals are near unreachable, soon there will be hundreds of these to complain about.

Also the game is an unpolished pile of trash.

I have no problem giving new submissions the ability to have medals but the games should at least be polished. As Auz mentioned, there are so many bugs such as falling through the floor, getting stuck off screen, etc. that make this game unplayable.

May I even propose a new voting system?

The standard underjudgment system remains and then after a submission passes, users get to vote if the submission is medal worthy. I doubt it would ever happen but this game is a clear example: Decent game that should definitively be on NG, but does not deserve medals.

Yeah the game is not very good, looks like it was released too soon and the author didn't want to fix the glitches. However I'm sure this will happen many times in the future when the medal system is free for all.

If you want to take advantage on a glitch, just jump or take your enemy to the air (up+D) and then keep pressing D, your character will start "flying" while hitting the enemy. Works with groups too.

According to this review the actual gameplay is not all that is glitched.

How about this idea?

Based on your batting average you can only allocate a certain number of points for your medals in your flash game? You can still have as many medals as you want if the minimum is 1 point for each medal?

I can't get any medals for TTA3, do I have to gain the medals in a certain mode? because I have done some of them.

I'm fairly sure you have to die and return to menu for the medals to take effect, otherwise you have a firefox adblocker on.

Or otherwise I have no idea.

The mode does not matter, but you need to get 100 kills for the weapons in one round without dieing.

Nope, you don't have to day to get the medals. But you do need to die if you want to get the in-game achievement which will later be useful to get the secret weapon (artifact 19), so you better die if you want to get it.

And remember that to get the medals which are getting a certain amount of kills you must do everything in one single match (the mode doesn't matter, it's the same). That means that killing 75 enemies in one match and later killing 75 more in another won't get you the misanthropist medal.

Maybe it's the problem with the Firefox adblocker though I have no idea how that works.

Huray! I got all the medals in thing thing arena 3! Even after having problem with spike grenades because of the low ammo and artifact not appearing, I finally did it!

I'l try to get the medals that I am missing on Portal Defenders later...
Also about the new game, I am not even going to try for even a single achievemnt, the game sucks!

Yes it is. Beat the last boss (at least I think it's the last) and now the game won't go on. That dragon is just lying there, bleeding endlessly. I still can change weapons, but nothing else is happening. This sucks!

Given how the Badges at Kongregate have worked, you should all hunker down and get used to the haters, especially since there are so many more achievements per game here at NG. There are plenty of reasons, good and bad, but what it boils down to is that some people just seem to think certain games just shouldn't get achievements and should have them removed, and by "certain games" I mean "someone will hate every single game that gets achievements from here until the end of time".

That is unless NG opens up the achievement API and virtually everyone has them. Then they won't be as special and people won't care enough to bitch. I'm not really sure because I haven't been paying the closest amount of attention, but sometimes it looks like that's the plan.

Like plenty of people have said, are you using Firefox with Adblock Plus? I mucked up the 100 Kills with the Arrow Gun (so... slow...) because of that.

I don't know if they should let pornographic flashes use the medal system. Young kids who want to earn lots of medals would feel obligated to play them. However, I have a feeling they will allow it anyway.

I share many of the criticisms already put forth, and haven't seen anything unique to these so I won't add to 'em.

However, the difficulty curve isn't SUPER bad - dying is not a bad thing since it saves all your little points and kills. So you can die 4387307 times, so long as you cumulatively kill 100 guys, you'll get your kill medals. Same goes for the upgrades. It's just a matter of grinding.

The grading system seems a bit weird. I haven't completed stage one yet so I dunno if you have to have an A+ when you FINISH or if it's based on your whole performance, or what. I man maintain an A++ in game but then on nick and it drops me to C or so.

Ah well, it's a work in progress. I'm sure the author will fix these bugs and make it more medal-friendly if people start ignoring his game.

No I am not using Adblock Plus. I already have other medals aswell.

Yeah, that's the good side. Once I figured that out I kept playing (stupid medal whore, me is ^^).

It says: "Stylish Average", but that can't be quite right. I stage 2 I never get hit and have a A++ rating most of the time, and yet I only get an average rating of D or C?

Stage 1 I get A+ for that all the time, but I do get hit now and again.
I'll also get A+ for time but always a B for kills...

Before, A+, B and B = A total
But: A+, A+ and B also = A total.

That's because on higher difficulty settings, there are more opponents. I tried it on "Slayer", but at the end the game wouldn't finish the stage. Stupid glitches. :(

Level 2 in FUI2 is unforgivable. This is a game that not even wylo can beat.

Agreed/ It takes a lot of patience as you need to wait for her to attack you after she blocks then you can attack again.

On a brighter note I've only got 2 Thing Thing medals left.

Looks like we have to grind for health and weapon powerups on level one to have a real shot against her. Not a fun game.

Just use the Down+D attack and trap her in a corner. Keep doing it until she's halfway up the sceen and jumps to make her "flying down attack". Stop using your weapon. She will miss you, because she lands too far left of you. When she lands, immediatly attack her with Down+D again. Rinse and repeat, until she dies.
