it's not settled yet, the crew simly have been busy with jobs, school etc. it should be deal with a.s.a.p. though.

I would say I'm really anxious to see the results but I already know there's no chance I'll ever win.

Because my ability to record music at this time is crap... what are the chances I could help judge the next contest? I have a great ear for music. I have been writing lyrics for about 5 years now and performing in bands, mainly symphonic, sense I was 10. Anyway let me know. Love the entries this month!

Even though people have continued to ask, I though I should bump this baby up. Its past the middle of April now and no sign of any date or beginning of judging. Please tell me something is happening soon?

No, usually theres a lot of dialogue on result dates a well as a show on Radiogrounds announcing the results. But MaestroRage has left recently and he was the main man from these competitions. Also LJCoffee who is usually active and very helpful seems to have disappeared...

Yeah, terribly sorry about the whole waiting thing. I personally didn't want to deal with the judging process because when launching the contest, I knew this would be a busy time for me - it have been last few weeks, and still will be pretty much until school is up.
But since LJC seem to be in a similiar situation, it's obviously up to me to deal with it.
And I've started to do just that, so hopoefully we'll get the results out a.s.a.p, or rather a date for the radio-show.

Sometimes. Comps tend to sway between really good and really bad in terms of organization. I feel as if participation has declined a bit. There's usually twice as many comp entries. Where this one had only 26 entries, the last one had around 56. One thing I've noticed though is that the quality of the pool of entries seems to be getting better each time around.

the biggest problem with running these contests is ALWAYS the judging process.

When i started up the MAC's nearly three years back, it was always really difficult to get the judges to send their picks in time. sometimes not even half of the judges had their picks in for the set deadline. The more judges that are in, the more fair the result will be - and the easier it will be to just skip a few who doesn't show up with their results in time.

It should be understood that it's a timeconsuming task only to be a judge, let alone trying to manage all of it. This time it have gone way too far, so the above is no excuse, just something i wish to point out.

And this time in perticular have been extra difficult obviously.
I've rushed in on it now, so hopefully there'll be something in as soon as possible. Stay tuned.

dunno... i won't be managing anything until school is up at its earliest, and even then i probably will be swamped, since i'm gonna work as both a soundtechnician and production manager at a stage at one of swedens largest festivals, "Arvikafestivalen"... me and a buddy is splitting the full responcibility, but there's probably alot to deal with before it kicks off.

i have no major plans in making a MAC for a month or two, at least. but who knows...
