yo you left out my other submission, granted between the coarseness of the song and vulgar title, I still wish for it to be a submission. What a [Technical] Cunt. It should be submission #3-4

you did mention it wasn't a serious submission in the submission thread and i thought you meant that, i mean, in all honesty - that track is 0% kid-tune... :-/
i'll make a note to the judges about it if you really want to, though,

I had every intention on doing a little remix of "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" before my operating system crapped out on me...again.

This must be one of the smallest turn outs for a MAC since the beginning of (NG)time. I was going to offer my services as a judge, but it appears you guys have it all under control.

F777's "Feelings of Music"(most generic theme ever) has 49 entries, how does that make you feel?

just you wait

If the mac's theme was "make a generic techno song" then we'd get fucktons of entries. The theme was harder so thus less entries.

Anyone want to get to me on that so we can figure out a time for the RG show?

You're joking right? Kids tunes are so easy to write. It's just that no one probably wanted to write one.

Also, despite the relative ease of the comps theme, I somehow managed to fuck up and write idm. How did I do that?

yeah, time fly fast :-o

haven't seen LJCoffee around in a while, he's the judge-mastaaah. will try to get hold of him (apart from starting up this contest, i have nothing to do with the judging-process. if i can't get hold of him though, i'll disqualify mine and my buddies entry, and gather up the judges myself).

Well I thought they required more thought than just a random synth playing over a driving kick.

All you've done it bitch about this competition. Your entries are hardly much of a change from your normal bing bong tunes either so it's pretty clear you don't like to try pushing yourself to do differnt things. It's going outside your comfort zone the whole point of these competitons?

If that sounded arsey I'm sorry, it probably is but I can't stand whining.

True, my first attempt at one of these competitions was right up my alley. I've yet to see what the next one is going to be but I'm happy to have a go. Excuse me for not paying much attention to the forums till now.

unfortunatley that goes for alot of audio regulars. i personally think there are multiple good things with having non-generic unts-unts themes;

- more niched new music become easier for flash authors to find (one purpose with the audio contest from the very beginning was to let the audio and flash creators become closer, hence the "tankmen" theme and some other)

- trying out different genres one is not used to is both challanging and rewarding when it comes to experience in both producing and mixing.

it's clear that alot of people dont see that, or just don't think it's fun to try something different. though that's an extremley important factor too, of course - to have fun.

and while it's perfectley fine and encouraged that people leave feedback to the contests, it's true that noone likes a whiny little baby. :)

I really enjoyed this topic because I was difficult for me to have a finished product. I even had to import a singer from another country! Of course that doesnt mean that my submission was particularly interesting but at least I did some research and gave it as good of a go as I could. What I value most from these MACs is that I feel like I learn a lot when trying new things, and this latest one is no exception.

I did notice a lot of people didnt even attempt any lyrics which says to me either they didnt read the line "Contest entries with lyrics will most likley have an advantage in the judging process" in the rules or they were not particularly interested (or didnt have the gear? mics are cheap...) in trying something new.

Honestly I think the lyrics will do nothing but detract from my score.

I have a very raspy sailer voice. Kids run away from me...

...I'm kidding though. I have no idea why, but kids are actually attracted to me. I remember once I was walking through the park with my girl friend and a little kid walked up to me and called me daddy. It was a very scary moment.

We enjoyed the comp. It was a nice chance to explore our musical abilities, and challenge ourselves. Bravo to everyone that tried.
