"Guess who's back, back again, Shady's back, tell a friend" Eminem knows how to make a comeback. After four years, the world's biggest rap star will not just be releasing one new album, but two. The first "Relapse" album will hit stores on May 19th, a release date that already includes Lil Wayne's rock "Rebirth" and Busta Rhyme's "B.O.M.B."
Although the Eminem, Dr Dre & 50 Cent "Crack A Bottle" [listen here] single is already topping the charts and racking up tons of radio plays, the first official single from "Relapse," and it's music video, will hitting radio and television on April 7th. As we previously reported, "Crack A Bottle" will also have a video hit media outlets soon.
Although "Relapse 2" doesn't have a release date yet, Eminem says that he is currently in the studio working on the project and it should come out in the second half of this year. "We were on such a roll; we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre" Eminem says in the press release. "Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff."
Huh...2 albums in the same year huh? Kinda pushing limits. Maybe it will be an good move on his part. I just hope most of the songs on his albums aren't to much like 'Crack A Bottle'.
For you guyzz who like rap, what are your thoughts?

Eminem isn't my favorite rapper by all means, but it'd be nice to hear something new from him.
I wonder how, if at all, different it will be from his previous albums.

Im a hip-hop fan but I'm more into the old school and Eminem is played out. I mean I still love his old songs but his time is done. I think he should focus on his kids and producing new rappers.

His older albums were great, but I couldn't stand to listen to Encore or the Re-Up.

I liked him, then after that one anti war video i hated him. But with Crack a bottle and the fact that the war is over, I think its time to forgive and forget.

It doesn't have to take forever to make a good album, although I have never though highly of Eminem.
The White Stripes, for example, have made most of their albums with only a week in the recording studio.

I'm hoping it's good, I really am. I loved every bit of Infinite because you could hear his.. Well.. I don't want to say anger, but I suppose it's the closest thing in his voice. The combination of great flow, truth, and very clever lyrics is what made Eminem great at one point, but now he's commercialized and is making party music.
Thank god he's working with Dre though, good rappers are extremely rare and are a dying breed.

Glad to see he's coming back. He's one of the best lyricist's I've heard and his songs are some of the most entertaining to listen to. I hope the new albums are more like The Eminem Show than Encore. Encore was just so...ugh.

Agreed. If he can pull it off and come up with another awesome album I'll be happy, but if it's just another Encore then no thanks.

Interestingly enough, Eminem is the only rapper who's music I don't mind. Perhaps I'll give the album a listen some time.
I'd love to hear from you. :3 | E-Mail: evansweeney@gmx.com | AIM: EvantheDeku | Oh dear, Dekuboy is back..

I hope it has some deeper fucked up songs like marshall mather's lp. his best cd imo. good to know there's 2.

I agree with you on that front. While Crack a Bottle, it can't be denied, had a really great beat and received due recognition for it, I'm hoping that the lyrics for the tracks on the rest of his album are a little bit less superficial, and less hackneyed and overdone as well. With Dre as a partner on this album, I find it hard to believe that they couldn't think of something better than "don't let your body waddle."
So I suppose we'll just have to wait until the album drops before we pass judgment on whether Eminem has lost his way or not.

I don't think Eminem is any good anymore. He pretty much adminting to giving it all up in "saying goodby to hollywood" and everything since has seemed like he's purposly trying to tank his own career. that last album of his was garbage... just utter trash, he wasn't even trying anymore.
This new "I'm rich and in the club" Eminem sucks and I'd think we'd all be happier if he just gave up his music career and concentrated on his label and producing.

I hope it's not like 'Crack A Bottle', it was alright, but not his style per say. Hopefully something like his freestyle he did titled, 'I'm Having A Relapse..'.
blah
