4.09 / 5.00 15,161 ViewsHi, I'm playing SFIV now and I have trouble with the combo's of M. Bison , Balrog, and other characters who use similar moves. The ones taht Ken, Ryu and Sagat use are easy. But does somebody have any tricks on doing the "hold the lever back" moves?

nope those moves are stupid... because you can't spam them
best to use ryu and hayoken your way to victory
One easy way to do (well, its actually kinda difficult to pull off at times) is to duck and hit the opponent to send them (atleast slightly) backward, and while you are holding down before you hit them, hold the stick slightly back (whichever direction that is at the time) then afte ryou hit them you have a small window of time that you can do your special/ultra/whatever move it is you're trying to do..
On a side note, I'm using an effective combo with Balrog that doesnt involve any of the backwards charge moves, only a down-charge move...
(this is in xbox 360 controls)
Jump towards the opponent, press RB on the way back down, this should essentially punch them in the head and knock them backwards... as soon as you land, duck and do 2-3 quick light punches (X button), and while you're doing so it counts as charging down, so after you do the punches, press up and then RB (or any punch button) to do a headbutt, it's really effective
