Heavy Metal is an American magazine full of illustrated stories, usually fantasy and science fiction. A Canadian film company made this movie and the movie is a compilation of Heavy Metal stories.

That's that movie with the song kenny cheeses to, yes?

A few days ago, I found a French short sword that looked like it was from the Eiffel Tower gift shop. Unfortunately, I couldn't purchase it due to store policy. My boss brought it to the police station where it would be destroyed. According to her, it was the fourth sword she had donated to her store. One time someone donated a Katana but she had to bring it to the police station.

For the positive side, I found this beautiful pewter goblet with dragons as the design. It cost $0.50 and I'm going to give it to my step-father for Father's Day.

Just when I thought I saw it all with the toys, this one takes the cake!

I found this about to be dumped so I smuggled it over to my house and gave it to my mother as a joke. She found it hilarious and she is going to give it to one of her friends as a joke.

My mother assembled it after telling me that there would be something wrong with me if I assembled it myself.

Pure hilarity I tell you guys!

Today I hit the jackpot! I found several PS2 games plus one for PS3! The store could not sell so I took them and I plan to give my younger step brother the racing games and exchange the rest to EB Games.

Well, besides all the useless crap (lunchboxes? What?) there is some pretty interesting stuff here. The rifle-glass is awesome. You can literally get a shot of liqour with that thing.

Also, if that N64 still works, it's worth much more than 3 dollars.

thats pretty amazing.

I'm surprised that you got a lot of that stuff so cheap. Especially a SNES and a PS2. I still have my old SNES and the PS2 I got in 2001. It kinda makes me sad that theyre so considered to be worth so little...

Who knows what either of us could find next.

I am seriously considering it. Right now I am moving to a new house so once that's over I'll try to set up an eBay account.

I agree. Places like the West Edmonton Mall it would be worth a lot more than a simple thrift store I work at.

My boss's problem is that she doesn't see any true value into things like Soviet Fur Hats and old consoles.

You have just totally inspired me to go to all the thrift stores in my area! Since there's about 3 or 4 thrift/pawn shops in my area so i oughta find something nifty.

People buy the broken consoles and fix them. Sometimes so they can sell them on afterwards, but also just because they enjoy doing it, and some people buy the broken consoles so they can use the case to mod another console. I saw a photo of a Wii that had been modded into a NES case. Looked amazing.

It's true. I also have here lying two NES consoles, only one of them s used, so I'm thinking of modding the other one into a DVD player, or something.
Any nice ideas?

Wasn't expecting to see this thread return.

Don't forget about Garage sales. The last couple of months several towns arround my area had city wide garage sales events. and i found a lot of good stuff including:
Complete, working NES and 8 games: $3.00
Large R/C pickup (can climb ditches and run on the grass) $20.00
R/C airplane + charger, spare wing, and 2 battry packs$10.00 (box had $109.00 on it)
New in box (though it ain't now :P) 3pc sword set (not a cheapo either) $60.00
