When I'm talking out loud, I tend to be rather vague with my descriptions, and I forget words (even simple ones) to the point where a few people have mistaken me for someone with English as my second language, though that happens mainly when I'm stressed.
On the internet, though, I can be ridiculously specific and adjective-y, since you've got a lot more time to think about how to describe something and don't have an eager/impatient person staring at you while you try to be concise.

My dad is bad for this. Very time he needs something important it's " Did you see the thing on the table near the other thing?"

Being vague can be awesome in the right context, usually a comedic scenario. "Ever see that movie where that guy goes to that place to get that thing and all that crazy shit happens? That was bad ass." This is one of my favorite retorts to someone asking me to help them with a random movie fact or remember a title based on as little info as possible. And it always serves to get the point across.

man, i hate this.
my boss is the most annoying person because of his vagueness.
"go over there and get the mop" for an example.
NO POINTING TO ANY SIDE WHAT-SO-EVER!
there's about 360 degrees of "over there".
