I got a suggestion to put this thread here instead of in general.

I'm pretty sure that everyone who makes animations has a flash oddities, if we can call it that. What do I mean? I mean something that when you make an animation, you have to do, or you can't do, or something of the sort. When I make an animation, I HAVE to make the character play an instrument correctly. If they are playing piano, and there is music to the flash, their hands or arms or fingers have to be correct according to the song. Same for guitar.

What about you, what are your flash oddities? (Don't worry, we all want to know [and you want to know ours, don't lie you silly child.])

When I make an animation, I don't care if it sucks or not

As I said, I originally didn't want to put it here because it was for really advice and tips, but since no one in general animates really, this seemed a better place. Besides, can there relaly be much harm putting it here? You can hear all your pals little things that just make them tick when it comes to animation or games.

I posted a similar topic yesterday. Only I was asking what limits people had to deal with and how they worked around those limits. For me, there are many annoyances with AS3. I'm finding it hard to design a GUI in AS3, because it's harder to get objects to work the way you say they should. For example, event listeners can't always be disabled, and they are never replaced, so I end up having a button call two functions instead of one after another. I have found the only workaround is to change to a different button object for each function.
