I got glasses...

They are bifocals as well. I don't really need them to see, just when I'm doing "close work" (like writing in school, reading, on the computer, etc.)

So my situation is that I don't need to wear them all the time. In fact, most of the time, I won't actually be wearing them.

Right now, they feel weird, but I guess they should feel normal in a few days or so.

So Newgrounds, who here has glasses and when did you get them?

Ever since I was 6. Personally, I prefer how I look with them than without them, but maybe that's because I'm borderline blind.

I had glasses since I was about 8 years old. I remember going out and seeing every single leaf from a tree. It was cool. But I would prefer not needing glasses, of course. And contact lenses would probably irritate my eyes.

I've had glasses since I was 5 ish (coming up for 15 years since I started wearing them, gosh). Right now I'm -8.5 in my left and -9.0 in my right. That means I can see about half a foot in front of me before everything goes very blurry. I've got some sweet designer glasses so it's all good ^^

I've thought about getting contacts but I'm too used to my specs to change to them. My Grandparents mentioned laser surgery when I was younger but the worse your eyes are the less chance there is of it being successful. Come to think of it I'm due for an eye test and they've definitely gotten a tad weaker.

The detail that you didn't realise you were missing is amazing! I got headaches from comparing trees with glasses on to trees with glasses off.

I got glasses in middle school but most of the time I wouldn't wear them to school because I wanted contacts. If my friends smiled at me in the hallway I wouldn't realise until they were closer to me. Made them laugh when I told them why.

I got glasses at 12. It does feel weird the first couple of days, but you'll forget them very soon. After that, you will start searching for your glasses while you are wearing them. All normal...

I've had glasses since I was six. It's terrible i believe. I tried wearing contacts and had a fuggin allergic reaction to the contact solution or whatever it is. I can't wait to get laser vision.

i've worn glasses since i was about five. my eyesight was horrible so i wore them everyday, all day. i also got bifocals for reading at about twelve. on my fourteenth birthday i got contacts. not only did the contacts allow me to feel more confident, my glasses were huge and unsightly, the vision they allow is a more accurate and natural one. with glasses there is distortion around your peripheral, with contacts not so much. also once i started wearing contacts, the worsening of my eyesight started to slow. so for me contacts>glasses. although for you it's probably more like seeing>blind.

I got glasses for the same reason as you. They're nice because you can finally see shit that you didn't even know you couldn't see. But eventually you just get contacts...

I had eye surgery and such and I needed them when I was that young. Around 2 years old.

Well, my eyes are overly sensitive to light, so i'm supposed to wear sunglasses with at least a .30 tint pretty much all the time. The deans at my high school always gave me shit for it even though I literally carried a doctors note with me at all times. Well until one day I blew up one of their cars, and they couldn't prove it was me.
