The Newgrounds Tank Wall project

Ok guys, i know i've talked about this before, but i would like to make this the official "Here's my progress / help me out" thread.

The project if fairly simple: I have here, several pieces of cardboard, which i am going to use to create a massive stencil of the Newgrounds Tank Logo. By using various art techniques, ideas, and suggestions, i am going to make a 6 ft by 6 ft replica of the NG tank, right here on my wall.

The supplies i'm using-
- several large squares/rectangles of heavy duty cardboard
- A projector
- Black spray paint
- pens, pencils, rulers, etc

This is going to be a week long project. I am taking lots of time to do this, because i want it to be PERFECT. I'll take pictures every once in a while to show my progress. I will also take ANY and ALL ideas that users can provide for me to make this an easier project. Here's a snapshot of where the tank is going.

And, if there is room on the wall when this is done, i just might be willing to add some names around the tank. I know how much you guys just love that.

I would suggest buying some painter's tape as well.

True. This desk has served me well for the past 8 years, but i should invest in a newer, less destroyed desk eventually.

Bookcase...i have lots of those. That's only one of five that i have down here.

Yes. You'll have to include at least a few of those, and variations on the other mood faices.

So! I'll be doing the bulk of the work this weekend because i have nothing else to do (This week was busy)

Now, regarding names going up on the wall. I don't want this to explode into a 7 page thread of "Me!" "Pick me!" "I want i want i want!". This is super serious, and i'm going to be very selective on what names i'm going to put on the wall. Let's make a list of.....hmmm.......20 names.

And, as an added bonus/help for me, if you want your name written is a specific way, post a picture, and i'll do my best to recreate it.

Ha, I've always wanted to draw something Newgrounds-related on my wall, but I've never had the balls to go through with it. Since you're doing the tank, I'll have to do Angry Faic in fear of copying you. Good luck and I hope you don't mess up too badly.

What i would personally do would be to draw on the wall the tank in pencil, then when you think it looks pretty good, go over it in marker.

Afterwards use painters tape and paper and cover all the areas that you don´t want to paint. Cover up desk/computer with a big cloth/rag, then just spray in on. Let dry and peel all paper and tape off. You might have to clean up the edges with a brush and paint maybe, but i think you could do all that in the space of a few hours maybe.

Oh, and to make your wall perfect, put my username on it ;D
