3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsWell, I have just finished my first song using FL. I had to edit it in Audacity, and because I can't export it as an MP3 using that program, I just exported the edited version as a wav. file, and then used a converter to convert it into an MP3 file, but because of this, when I go to submit it, it says it's an invalid MP3. I know this is probably because of the converter, but how else am I going to be able to submit to the audio portal?
Thanx in advance.
You could install the .dll file that lets Audacity export directly as MP3, rather than exporting as a wav and then converting it.
Try a different converter
That happened to me once, and it was because of the program I used

mp3 to wma converter works for me, in case the OP needs a suggestion. (It converts more than just mp3 to wma, btw, and that is the actual name of the converter.)
I say it would be easiest to find and install the mp3 converter for Audacity. Other than that, you can try encoding it to an mp3 file with iTunes?

There should be an export to MP3 function in FL (I should know, since I used to use FL to make my music).

Yes, but after I was done, I had to edit it in Audacity, which would only export as a wav. file.
I'm going to go with the solution of finding the file that allows audactiy to export in MP3.
Thank you for the help guys :)
Let me do this in steps:
1. Export from FL Studio as an MP3.
2. Get it into Audacity and ecport it as a wav file.
3. Open the wav file in iTunes.
4. Right click the file (if you are using PC)
5. Convert to MP3 file.
You just have to find where iTunes puts it after that.
