The closest I've ever seen to a person dying was an open casket funeral. I had to stand around this woman I never knew in a cramped room. So, no. I haven't seen someone die.

There was a murder-suicide next door to my house when I was 7, and I saw the police dragging out the body bags. Just last week I saw a corpse lying face down after a motorcycle accident while going to culvers with my dad, but I didn't see them die. I've never actually watched anyone die but I've been close a few times.

When I was riding in a cab with my mom a long time ago when we still lived in Baltimore, I remember seeing a man hunched over on the ground, bleed tremendously outside of a bank, as a ton of people tried going to get help... It can be assumed what happened, but I don't think the guy died.

You didn't specify whether it has to be a human being or an animal. I've seen a dog being run over by a car, puking blood, licking the face of the owner, howling and then dying in the arms of the owner...
I get shivers down my spine each time I think about it...

Not that I can remember, but I see at least three fatal car crashes a year.
I saw a dude on a motorcycle get smashed by a truck, I wonder if he survived?

well i guess it that could somehow count. but humans is more of what i was thinking about. i have seen animals die too but that was just nature, another animal killed it for food.

The glassed over eyes are something you never want to see.
They don't just look dead; they look fake. Like mannequins or something...
It really effects a person...No matter who you are, the first time you witness a death, you'll realize (sooner or later) that there is another person gone from this Earth.
Then you think that your time here is limited.
Then--and here is the part that most people screw up--you get depressed instead of getting motivated and doing something with the time you have left!

I witnessed the death of a frog when I was a child. Was kind of moving.
At school I knew a girl who found a dead old woman.

I was at the airport getting ready to fly back home when I saw a guy fall out of a chair in the passenger waiting area. He convulsed on the floor and then stopped moving. There were people everywhere screaming for help and I was standing there shocked as two airline workers came up to the guy and called for ambulance help. By the time the help had arrived (nearly five minutes later) with the defibrillator, he had died. They never explicitly told us, but the ambulance people were not moving very fast when they put him on the cart and walked him away. I assume it was his wife who followed behind consumed by tears and hysterics.

No, but once when I was little I saw my grandma's cat lying and making noises and so I went over and she had some sort of huge gash or something with small worms crawling around in it. I was completely disturbed and I told my grandma and it turned out they had to put it to sleep

The only lives I have seen slip away right before my eyes were my last two hamsters, both on separate occasions and both died from the same illness.
I was glad that I was able to be there for both of them, even though their deaths were quite slow and just holding them and silently begging them to live was killing me. I imagine it would obviously be a loy harder and horrible seeing a human die, but seeing my beloved hamsters die was enough for me to handle.

I saw someone get their throat slit right before my eyes. I walked up to the person and atytempted to beat the crap out of him. And that's why I can't see out of one eye now.
Bullshit indeed.

I've seen animals die before, but i've never seen any humans die.
I hope I don't anytime soon, too.
Good question.

Had to put my Siames down in July 17 2007..... Its funny how I rember the exact date she died.
The reason we had to put her down is because her lungs were filling up with fluid. She was 17 years old.
I cried for 3 days......

When I was little I did go to an open casket funeral of a baby that died. I really tried to see the dead baby because, being little, I thought it would be cool. Of course it was probably really mean to the grieving family to be amazed at their dead child and I feel like shit about it now.
The closest I've come was seeing a dead body or an old, dead person at a funeral and its not that amazing.
I've seen internet videos but I don't think that counts.
I also saw a group of deer head hanging from a tree but that was kind of neat.
Siggy

i saw my cat put to sleep when i was like 7.
when my parents asked if i wanted to see him "put to sleep" i thought they meant it literally (like as in napping, not being killed), so i said yes.
then i asked my dad when he would wake up...

My grandfather died on Christmas, four hours after I left the hospital. My mom was holding his hand when he passed, but I wasn't there to see it, thankfully.

Saw a dead body in a car crash. It was in a residential zone so it must've been a heart attack behind the wheel or something.
You don't die at 10 MPH from a car crash.
If you do, you deserve it for sucking too much for the human race.

well it has to be seeing the person dying as in you being there witnessing the person get shot, stabbed or whatever caused their fate. i've only been to 1 funeral in my life and it was to someone i didn't even know so i was like meh :/
