Because there isn't an overpopulation problem.

So is drink driving, as mentioned in his post.
So is drinking so much alcohol you get poisoned.

The list can go on and on forever, everything will come to being an idiot.

If this was legalizing something like acid or heroine would you guys be on me like a pack of vultures? I'm just saying this shit shouldn't be legalized and I smoke it myself, to myself. Just like all the other smart people out there and IT WORKS just fine. I just don't wanna see kids out there, even my kids, with another risk added to the list. It's just my opinion.

I think that it would be better to be legal and then we can focus on curing peoples addictions instead of throwing them in jail.

Because the government doesn't have to pay for your bed when you wind up in their public hospital with lung cancer.

I smoke weed daily, and so do most people on the site. Prohibition never works, so why doesn't the government just tax it like they should.

Last time I checked this wasn't about cigarettes. But you are right. They shouldn't do that.

Legalizing weed now could help with our recession, I'm up for it. If it ever turns legal, I'm going to buy me some.

See this is exactly why it should be legal. People shouldn't be scared to do things because the government says its bad.

Since when is government god. I thought we believed in evolution.

At 2/23/09 07:46 PM, triplenoob wrote: bad fucking idea. i mean, if they legalize weed, where will be the fun of having weed? i mean, if its not illegal anymore, where will be the pleasure of tasting the crime?

i went to jail on just a perephanelia charge when i was 17. 'yeah, this pipe has the distinct smell of burnt marijuana sir, did you know that?' "i didn't know there was a distinct smell of burnt marijuana, officer."

me and my buddy jo were sitting on the side of the road waiting for our buddy zoli to get us the fuck away from jo's house. his alcoholic-crankhead of a 'step-mother' kicked us out for thinking she was an insane bitch, then she called the cops. so yeah, waiting on the side of the road, listening to my ipod through my quiet headphones laying on the ground. he was spose to come at 1. 1:30 came. 1:45, a car is comming. it is a cop car. of course.

"could you please watch out for my ipod down there on the ground, officer, i just got it as a gift for chris-" *CRUNCH* 'oh, sorry sir, i didn't see it there. you have anything else in your pockets that we might need to know about?' "yes, i have a pocket knife in my right pocket." there's 2 of them btw, and after they search us, they stick us in the car and drive us to jo's house.

jo: "it's funny to think of all the things people could be doing that is a REAL problem, a real crime. yet, here we are, in the back of this car, just because we were suspected to have smoked some weed. lit some plant material on fire, and inhaled." as he says this, the cops faces turn red.

sheriff shows up. wants to talk to both of us, but one at a time. they use shiesty tactics. 'i know you know about the gun, and i'm not buying this 'i didn't see anything' bullshit. in fact, your friend told me that he saw you use the gun.' "i'm sorry officer, but that cannot be, because i saw nothing and know nothing of it, and my friend jo there doesn't usually lie." 'BULLSHIT! you're both liars. lying pot-heads. well why don't i see what the lady has to say then 'ey?' that was no use. that lady was drunk. the lady was speeding. but they do not notice this, cause they are busy jacking off to busting pot-heads.

he comes back saying to another cop "i didn't even see a single mark on her face." they both laugh. "well i guess we'll just have to take her word for it."

so a week later, i'm out of jail. lucky me. i only got charged for the pipe. jo, he had about 3 months or more. it's hard to remember. they charged him with assault for the toy gun incident, which had no physical proof, and thus he didn't recieve a FAIR trial like he should have.

this makes the fact that pot is illegal no fun at all. but it's still fun to shmoke.

I hope this passes. Honestly I don't see why pot heads are up in excitement. You're smoking weed in your living room now with your friends and you'll be doing the same thing if it's legal. The only difference will be is that people will make money off you now.

Kinda exactly what i was thinking. The diffrance would be that it will be cheaper at first to weed out Black Market sales.

Sadly, this is true. Even though medical marijuana is legal here, the DEA periodically shuts dispensaries down, so I could see legal weed being no different.

Also, despite living in California, I've yet to hear of any update or progress on this bill.

I meant to say that people not involved at all with the buying, using or selling of drugs, will now profit from it.

Making it illegal is getting involved. So a store that sells shoes isn't involved in selling shoes because the CEOs don't make them by hand?

Explain how the people profiting from this are not involved.

Explain how they are not already involved.

You are an Uneducated Dumbass and are as gay as your sig. I have had more to do with weed than your little ass ever has kid. WTF would you call Illegal Sales by Drug Cartles. You know that weed is Sold by the Growers to the Next big guy and so on until it reaches your local Drug Dealer with only 3 pounds or less at his home. Maybe you should learn something and not think that just because you have smoked a Joint or two you have a Fucking Clue to how the Drug Trade works.
