I've been working on a piece on paint for the Isometric Pixel Art Contest, and all of a sudden today, the colours are not working properly. I can use red and yellow, but green comes out brown and blue comes out black (light blue comes out gray). Anyone have any ideas?

Copy and paste it into a new paint document.

Yeah, I think I'm just going to draw it out in one file, copy paste that into another paint file to colour it, and then copy paste it into photoshop (which I just got) to save it as a gif file.

You know you can do the entire thing straight in photoshop, right?

Yeah, but 1) I don't know how to really use photoshop, and I don't have enough time to learn how with all of my exams now and 2) I prefer the simplicity of paint for this style

The reason, MadCow, is that one of the threads needs to be created first, that's usually going to be the talk thread, so that the contest thread can link to the talk thread. The down side is that the talk thread will not be able to link to the art thread in the OP.

In case anyone missed ReNaeNae's link to the contest thread HERE IT IS AGAIN.

That would be virtually impossible to have both link to each other, unless you guessed the thread ID number on the thirst thread link.

I've finally got the super nintendo in the picture, just need to add a controller, some wires, maybe a bit of stuff on the wall like a shelf, then colour it and then I'll get it up.

Thanks for the tutorial, Pox!

I've got a pretty good idea for what to draw out for the contest. Pic unrelated - currently I'm just dicking around with the format and a choice of palette.

I just have one suggestion for you piece. For the red robot, the flap that's opened to unleash the cannons (I'm guessing) should be angled in the same direction as the robot, downwards and to the left, as oppose to upwards and to the left. Same goes for those cannons.

Well that's not bad, but I don't think the perspective you're using counts as isometric =X. Anyway, I could be mistaken ;).
