It doesn't work like that though, you pay at the time of service or learn the skills yourself.

Well how much then for this simple job?

to be honest I would really consider investing time into learning some basic xhtml/css, the task at hand doesn't appear to be too complicated. It's hard to run a site without knowledge like this because you'll have to rely on someone else for even the smallest updates
I don't really design for money though, so you'll have to wait for input from someone else.

Yeah well I'm going to be learning some basic xhtml/css soon but I just need some thing right now.

It won't happen unless you're willing to pay. Even then this job really is very simple but whoever takes it will probably charge you more than it's worth.

I see what you did there!
So how much money are you willing to spend?

I will do a quick crappy one for FREE using bad HTML and as-little-as-possible CSS.
Hey if you give me an e-cookie I will even throw in some PHP code*!
I may even do some JavaScript!!!
*Well only if your host allows PHP...

This man is a twat, and I hope you don't pay attention to him.
I don't even know why he posted that.

Looking at that, it'd be a lot more than just plain XHTML/CSS. PHP would be required to integrate the boards and the blog with the front page.
You won't find anyone who would do it for free.

Well, I'd make the front page LOOK like that.
I wouldn't integrate the blog or anything though, I don't know enough PHP to do that.
But the design you want done is really simple.

It's dreamweaver, and two, it's so bad, it's not worth it. The markup is atrocious.

It's actually not that bad anymore. However, it's difficult to manipulate CSS and HTML to do what you want it to do if you have no idea what you're doing.

Good point. I don't dab with the drag and drop, so I don't know how well it performs these days. :P

Version 8 is fine. I only use it for positioning to see how something looks and clean up whatever I need but the code really isn't that bad. As far as borders and other really fancy stuff go, DW doesn't have a CSS library unless you download the plug in (I think) I don't use their plug ins so I don't know.

Well we all love you too DryRye man.
So, what do you want the colour scheme to be? Or do you want me to make a fancy login thing that lets you edit it and choose colours yourself?

Well, learn some simple HTML, HTML is easy to learn, and to start your site off, u will only need to basics. My site developed over a whole year, it first used to be some crappy thing, (kinda still is lol), but loads better now, and its getting better.
