What's that about?

Young college student named Godai who moves into an apartment complex(With other bizarre/unique tenants who party in his room daily, even when he tries to study for exams)

He then meets and falls in love with the apartment manager, Kyoko Otonashi.

And from then on, the series is about Godai trying to win the heart of Kyoko, while growing and maturing over the years that he's there.

I watched bits and pieces of this one before of some child actress.

I am very sure that is Kodocha, I love that series dearly. It's hyper and silly, but it's got heart and the characters have enough dept to provide an entertaining watch.

I got the second DVD set of it for Christmas, awesome gift.

Although even if I do remember the name, I highly doubt I'll want to watch it.

Kodocha? Why not? It may not be the most realistic show ever, but you admit that you enjoyed it, and it's not suprising that you did.

Oh Mendou, you watch way too much anime to judge it so deeply. Also you seem to have a steady income that keeps you buying it rather than obtaining by other means like the rest of us.

But yeah, I watched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and I have to say it wasn't that bad. I liked the episode where they showed their film. I haven't watched it in a while, but when the alien girl kept beating up Mizuru or whatever the time travelers name was it was quite funny.

Kodocho! That's the name. Maybe I will check it out again. I never did finish it...

Plus it's really odd in Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya that she stands high off the ground, standing on objects, and never get an upskirt, yet at least once per episode you see the pink haired girl (I haven't memorized their names yet) stripping.

Its plot isn't great, most of the characters are dull, and the humour gets old relatively fast, but I fucking love it just because of Haruhi. <3

also 10k for the third time now olo

I'm at episode ten right now. I find the characters very amusing, although the other boy (still haven't learned all their names) gets really annoying. He always just stands too close, haha.

Haruhi is definately worth the watch. I can see why there are 'Haruhi-ist's'.

I really need to read the manga...

It pretty much contains everything. Expect to see a Pheonix Wright reference in a episode.

You mean the novels?

Anyway, jokes aside, it's an ok show, but the fandom is a bit bloated, so it's not the cool thing to like around the more elitists circles.

Like I asked before, if anyone knows some animes I might be into, suggest them. I said before that I'm not into the whole giant robots, talking monsters, and sword fighting ones. I enjoy realistic ones, but with comedic overtones so I'm not watching this monotone snorefest with no humor involved. I'm definitely checking out that one about the college student trying to win the heart of the housing owner that a user listed above.

Any more suggestions?

If you liked The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya then I suggest watching Azumanga Daioh and Ouran High School Host Club. They're both about school life, so they should be interesting if you're into that type of thing. Both of them are some of my favourite series, so I can definatly say that I liked them.

This is what I think about Ouran High School Host Club.

Either way, I couldn't get into it, maybe it's probably the art style they did it, or maybe I just didn't care for the characters, no offense to the others who enjoyed this show, just couldn't get into it.

I tried Azumanga Daioh and it just seemed too weird for me. I'm waiting for episode one of your other suggestion to buffer.

More suggestions would be highly appreciated

This sounds really dumb, but I like the stories when it's a guy trying to get a girl or something. You know, something I can say "oh, I've done that before". School related animes since I go to school. I can relate to it rather than being confused with cyborgs and crap. Stupid ones that have ninjas, sword battles, and robots just bore me. I understand this series is about aliens, but I'm enjoying it so far.

I plan on finishing this, but any anime suggestions for the type I listed above?

DON'T WATCH THIS ANIME THEN. It involves, cyborgs, espers, and the potential end of the universe if a person is bored. No joke.

If you want something that involve everyday life you're better off with Lucky Star.

Its a good anime, but could use a bit more plot wise. There are also some scenes that are kinda necessary. Definitely worth checking though.

I need help remembering another title...

There was a boy who liked this girl. Something special was coming up, I believe it was her birthday or something. The boy didn't know what to get her so he brought his friend (another girl) to the mall with him in search for a gift.
There's not much i remember of this, and I know this isn't really descriptive. But if anyone remembers an anime episode like that then post it here.

still looking for some suggestions :3

Elfen lied? Dear lord the memory's of that anime. That shit was messed up. At least it had a happy ending...

If we're talking about High School-esque animes here, then I suggest Cromartie High School on the grounds that it involves Gangs, Robots, Randomness and a guy that looks suspiciously like Freddy Mercury from Queen.

I'd rather die a Wolf fighting against the Herder, than die a Sheep heading for the slaughter.

Oh I can totally relate to Konata she plays the vidya and reads manga and so do I so funneh XD. oh and haruhi references and other references to games that I get cuz I play video games and I liked haruhi such a funneh show I get the jokes XDXDXDXDXD.

Seriously, if you really want to watch an anime about people living normal dull lives then just go watch Maison Ikkoku and BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad.

Moe garbage shows are the worst excuse of a "Slice of life" series.
