Okay, unless there's another thread like this, I'm starting it.
Impeachment didn't come and the congress was being too lazy to do it while he was in office. Now he's out of office, and what happens? Nothing. Obama's keeping the detainees and depriving them of their rights. Chaney's on the loose and Rove hasn't done anything thus far about the subpoenas on his ass.
What's going on, ppl? When the hell's Bush going to get what he deserves for destroying the world?

I think Bush should be punished somehow.
But not too harshly.

When Clinton is punished for the doing the same damn thing.
Or in more simpler terms, "When hell freezes over."

Ffffffffff
A lot of people around the world might not have agreed with how Bush ran America. That's the case with any politician. But people really shouldn't go this far as calling Bush a criminal dictator who should be punished for his crimes. He waged war against terror, whether that's okay or not, that's something to formulate your opinion on. But given the circumstances this political move is not in the least a crime, neither is his refusal of Kyoto.
So don't call out for justice because this man was a politician that you didn't agree with.

Hey, here's a thought - why don't we, while we're on the warpath, throw Bill Clinton in the stocks for his various perjuries and military debacles as well? What about Tim Geithner and his tax evasion?
You see, if we're going to clean house, we should at least do it on both sides of the aisle (lest the hot air on the remaining side set up a rather nasty crosswind).

I didn't know Bush killed thousands of people in Iraq. He must have been pretty clever to hide all those airline flights back and forth between murderous rampages.

I don't see how we can hold president's accountable for their errors unless you can demonstrate that they were acting with malice or ulterior motives.
The president has so much power that any mistake they make will probably end up indirectly killing people (like changing the healthcare system, or what have you) but we don't try them for murder in such a case.

Bush can't be charged for anything people.
A president has absolute immunity from liability based on his acts as president.
Nixon v. Fitzgerald kinda clarified that.

I don't agree with many of the things he did, but they were not criminal.
The war in Iraq was based off of bad intel. Intel that maybe he should have looked into a bit further but as far as the public knows he was doing what he thought was right and just. You can't blame a man for doing that.
The man is likely going to stay at the bottom of the list of the best presidents and be remembered as a crappy President, leave it at that.

Actually, Hebert Hoover, Franklin Roosevelt, and Herry Truman did worse, and yet you dont ask for them to be punished. Anyway What exactly are you blaming on Bush? as in, what crimes. what events?
And please dont just say iraq, give an actual example and explain how and why its a crime.

you can also look at the comparative death tolls and the ceasefire afterwards.

The sad fact is that Bush is getting off without any punishment. He did too much to get punished.
It reminds me of what Ralphie May once said " if you had sold nine billion dollars worth of bongs you wouldn't have gotten any jail time, you would've gotten nine billion dollars." (He was talking about Tommy Chong.)
I realize that this is a strange person to get a quote from, but I think that with regard to today's world he was right.
A former rebellion is just a present conformity

I say they should throw Bush's ass into a federal prison or have him n his buddies be the last prisoners of the guantonomo place (i dunno if i spelled that right) I dunno, God only knows, he'll get his punishment either way, the only thing we (we meaning somone else) can do is make sure he gets a fraction of the punishment he'll get.
But ofcourse it'll have to be by the official authorities, I'm not saying people should go n kidnap him er anything.

If Bush was wrong for doing it, so is Clinton.
Or does the "any loss of human life is a tragedy" argument good out the window for Clinton?

Seriously, the people who want to punish Bush. You all sound like you're still in High School and have no concept of the world or understanding of politics. Please become more mature with your opinions rather than acting like a high school freshman who's trying to fit in with "popular" crowd.
