Netbooks. Are they worth it?

I've been pondering getting a netbook, because I'd like to be able to move around the house, and not sit in my oven of a room all day. I was thinking of getting the MSI Wind.

I was also looking at This awesome bundle of goodies, to put in my current rig, which is running an 8500GT and a 450w PSU.

I'd like both, but money is tight, and I need to know which would be better. I have no problems running any game I own with my current GPU, but I'd like to be prepared for Diablo 3 and the new game by the Developers of Baldur's Gate, (I forgot what it's called. Dragon something.) but I'm also tired of sitting in my room all day.

They're only good if it's the Sony Vaio P. Those things are powerful enough to smoothly run Vista, and they have an option for a 60GB HDD or 128Gb SSD.

They don't have a trackpad, rather one of those keyboard nubs. it is therefore smaller, etc. It has a reasonably large screen.

This thing defines the netbook. You can optionally have a mouse though. Picture:

I'd go with the Toshiba NB-100 12A over the Netbook you want. It looks as if its got all of the shit that that does minus 40GB harddrive space. It's also cheaper, but I'm not an expert on computers so don't take my opinion on there so heavily.

If you've got all you need to do what you want on your current computer, go with the Netbook for more mobility. If your current computer is crap, go with the bundle.

I hate netbooks more than you can imagine. The keyboard is far too small and the mouse is way too hard to use. I much prefer my hefty ol' laptop.

I got an Acer Aspire One netbook, it's well worth it.

Haha, I agree with the keyboard and trackpad being too small. You get used to it, though, and can always run off an external one. My main thing with Netbooks is that they have no disc drive, but I have my old laptop I can use for that.

I'd just get a proper laptop if you need to take it around the house. MacBook pro + wifi router = interesting conversations on msn that eventually lead to the inevitable phrase; "You're talking to me on the toilet?!"

... maybe a little too much info ... XD

For times when you need to whip something out for something, I'd either suggest an iTouch or a PDA/Smartphone.
