left the stack of firewood uncovered ALL WEEKEND! And guess what? It rained. A lot. Now I'm sitting in my freezing cold house trying to make a fire out of some soggy logs.

Does anyone know how I can make this easier on myself?

Use som e paper to get it started. Then add sticks and Twigs. While this si happening put the logs beside the fire. Soon put the logs on top of the fire. ( keeping the rest of the logs to the side by the fire.) If that doesn't work wear a blanket.

Actually, where I live it is very common to have a wood burning stove. I am not poor, I have everything you have and maybe more. I do live in a house in the redwoods, but its not far from civilization. The stove came with the house, and it is significantly cheaper to burn wood rather than using propane heating.

Current Status of my fire: Small flame barely going. Logs failing to light because of the water lining it.
