More of a pain than a normal computer, but not impossible.
I still have some pics I never shared.

You want 400-600 dollars for something I could do myself in a day? AND you want me to up and just mail my computer to you, where I'd probably never see it again?'
Yeah.. I don't think so.
Here's some funky calculations for you.
The perimeter of a midtower enclosure is about 18 2x10 bricks. The height of a conventional midtower is about 75 bricks.
2x10 bricks are $0.25 from LEGO.com
75 perimeters of 2x10s is 1350 bricks.
1350 bricks costs 337.50 plus tax.
This is of course, not even including other parts that are needed, like plates for the motherboard tray and base.
Not to mention hardware which probably totaled $20.
Lets say it costs $400 in raw materials for me to start a LEGO case.
Also, the LEGO case took me a solid 3-4 days to build, as you can see from the progression of the worklog. I put in maybe 2-3 hours a day. Assuming I clocked in at 10 hours to build the case, this leaves 0-20 dollars an hour for workmanship.
So really, that figure is an undershoot.
Nice job bro, although why didn't you install a nice 140 mm fan at the top?

Because I didn't have one? Temperatures are fine anyway. Nothing ever hits above 80.
Nice job! I'll probably be the first to request specs on that thing.

I accidentally an entire bottle, once.
Looks like fun to do. You have inspired me to take on a similar task!

I see no reason why TSF can't sell custom cases for whatever price he wants. If you think it's overpriced, fine, don't buy it. If the end product's price and build quality satisfies the customer, who CARES if the creator is "professional" or not? Believe it or not, some people want a LEGO case without the pain of building one. It's a free market, and the people will pay the asking price if they want the product.
If you think he's charging too much, sell your own cases for less. You have no chance to force him to change his prices just because of your butthurt opinion. If nobody orders one, nobody loses. If enough people whine to him about the price, then perhaps he'll change. But until then, he'll charge whatever he wants and there's not a damn thing you can do about it.
You're just looking for a fight.
Forgot to mention: great case, TSF! I wish I had the parts to make one myself :D

Salt-->Wound
RAWR.
Lol, I've always wanted to do that!!! It's been done before, by a few people. But if you thought of that on your own, I applaud you. It looks good!

I must say that it turned out to be a really great case. At first I didn't think that it would actually work but the finished product is AMAZING! If I had the extra money I would purchase one.
This is a picture of during the construction that I never posted. I think it gives you an idea of just how hard it was to make everything *work*. Overall, the hardest part was getting the motherboard into the tray, because it required drilling. I could've done a lot better with symmetry and color coordination had I a special order of LEGO bricks for the occasion, but for anyone who read through it, it was hard enough for me to get a roof over it as it is.
Have you made any progress on this sucker at all? I really want to see the end product.
Hey guys, a small update on this computer. I paralleled this build on a tech forum, and it was good enough to warrant a blue ribbon, meaning I now have a $20 credit at EVGA's store. I want to credit you guys for helping me see this through to the end, because there were numerous times I wanted to call it quits.
So a big thank you to all who supported this project, and for helping me get a BR.
Wow, that finished product is absolutely beautiful, congrats on the blue ribbon. I might buy a bunch of Lego bricks to attempt something similar for the hell of it.
Although loads of people have already said it, I have to applaud you for such an awesome job with the case, and then sharing it with us Newgrounds members.
It's such an awesome look, reminds me of childhood.
Hope you get a good price for it!
don't stop! this is the awesomest Lego project ever!
