To everyone saying I need more ventilation, these are old, economy parts. They don't generate much heat. However, I am going to work some fans in, believe me on that.

Interesting idea. I've seen it done successfully before on various blogs. Make sure you take all the precautions to make sure the parts are grounded.

i have a recommendation: add a system for using dry ice to cool the computer. say some slots to put it in to on various parts of the case, with cages on the inside to hold it. it would get rid of most thermal concerns, and the fog billowing out of the case would look pretty damned cool.

I looked into that. Melting the Legos won't be a problem for him. Most PCs are 60 degrees C. Legos melt at almost double that.

go and look up lego's original manifesto ;) i think you will find the inventer didn't intend it to be an art form, it was a way for children to express their inner flair and creativity, without having to relate to military toys.

You can basically build a computer case out of any workable object, but this is something I never thought about... I hope you don't run out of lego blocks ;)

Looks awesome so far, frenchie. I thought it was going to be vertical as well, but i'm happier that it's gonna be horizontal... Always had a soft spot for horizontal PCs.
