BTW, the Eleanor Mustang is one of the most overdone, and stupid looking mustangs I've seen. Why am I allowed to say this? Because I used to own a Mustang.

Mustangs are like tampons. Every pussy owns one.

Get a truck as you will be able to drive almost anywhere.

Well we were dumb enough to think it was gonna happen.

Okay, you are obviously lying, and I'm not going to argue with you. I brought it to car shows, and been complimented by guys driving Lambo's, and BMW's. So you obviously neither have any taste, or you're lying.
Thank you, goodnight.

Sorry to the OP for clogging up your thread with this useless, and off topic argument.

I'm lying because I don't want to own a piece of shit that every other dipstick on the road drives and thinks he's a total bad ass with?

Lemme guess, it was an automatic too?

Goodnight right back to you.

Sorry, but imports are my thing.

On second thought, you're right. I would want to own the above car.

Simply to liquidate it.

You're obviously spiteful, and have nothing better to do then try to insult people over the internet to make your E-Penis larger. What happened you get smoked by a POS GT Mustang during a late night drag race in your Civic? I'm sorry.
I'm trying to drop the subject, but it's obviously you that can't.
So, whatever. I'm over it, and you can't get to me, because I realize you're just an immature tool.

Hey OP, if you have any questions about whatever car you buy, feel free to ask me. I've been wrenching on cars since I was a little kid, and i've worked on everything from Pinto's to a Corvette. I'll try to help as best I can.
And just to let you know, it won't matter what you drive, you'll always run into jerks with an inferiority complex like MercatorMap, so don't take anything they tell you about your car to serious.

took me a long time to learn that.

I don't drag race. Period. End of story. I have too much love for my car to do that. That and the fact that there are way too many damn stoplights around here.

I'm sorry that you are so insecure.

Yes, tools often point the fingers first claiming that others are tools. I hope you realize that. Right, because you couldn't drop it after you said goodnight.

Hypocrisy is not one of your finer points pal.

And here comes the never ending loop of "Hypocrit!" "LOL HYPOCRIT!" "You're a hypocrit!"

Nah, it's not personal. It's just how much I hate the name Ford. Sorry that you thought the attacks were personal.

/me tosses his name into the fuck fords/mustangs hat.

I have respect for the late '60's 'stangs. But Corvettes've just always looked and performed that much better.

Anyway, as for the OP's dilemma, I personally HATE the third gen eclipse. 2nd Gen was the best eclipse and the latest gen looks pretty slick despite lackluster performance options. I'd have to agree with Sanjay's suggestion that you opt for a cheaper car now. You should consider which car is going to give you the deepest reduction in yearly insurance costs. The money you'll save will add up over the course of your first car's lifespan (undoubtedly shorter... even if you're a good driver inexperience will still take a larger toll on the working parts). Once you've passed 21 you can look into getting something decent.

My first car was an '89 Volvo 244DL with 249,000. It lasted me through my first four years of driving, and I had to share it with my brother for 3. I was a good driver in terms of skill of operation, but I absolutely beat the fuck out of that car. Loved doing all that stupid shit in the car, like racing other people, speeding constantly, flooring it everywhere, taking it on shitty roads, etc. Now I'm driving a '96 Volvo 854 GLT with another assload of miles on it. Since I'll be running my own business this summer, I'm hoping I'll have enough in the way of profits to sell the thing to someone (hopefully my brother, otherwise I'll have to detail the shit out of it and fix a bunch of minor annoyances) and finally get myself something enjoyable. I'm sick of driving hand-me-down sedans.

Hey, thanks for the insightful post in my topic a little while ago about getting a used car.

I have been looking over Hyundai Tiburon's, and Toyotal Celicas (if i cant find one), along with the eclipse.

Are there any cars with the same sporty looking design like these?

What other affordable used cars have the same type of sporty style like the Mitsubishi Eclipse and Toyota Celica?

Toyota Supra, Nissan 300ZX (Z series cars in general), Nissan 240sx, Mazda MX6, Mazda RX-7, and the Mazda Cosmo all jump to mind.

Or Camaro, Firebird, Thunderbird, Mustang if you're looking American.

Maybe you could find an early Neon sport... those look pretty nice and I bet you could find a used one for cheap.
