His Life In Hell comics are an underappreciated gem. I mean, you can't really compare a comic strip to two animated series, but it's a lot funnier at times.

Futurama, the humor is more edgy and racy and the storyline is way better

I never really watched "The Simpsons" but I do enjoy "Futurama" a lot, if only because there's a lot fewer episodes, and it makes it easy for me to see all of them. Could also be the fact that they're on Comedy Central, which is one of the channels that I watch the most.

Definately Futurama. Even though it's hard to find on TV anymore but I used to watch that show all the time. It was so funny I love it! It was always entertaining. Simpsons is okay but Futurama is better..

There have been so many fiery flamewars on this subject I'm amazed a topic of this girth was actually let be, but humm, for me, I'd say Simpsons. It's the series I've watched most, and therefore learned to love, though I laugh just as much, if not more, at the conflicts in Futurama.

Futurama all the fucking way.

I'll still watch old Simpson episodes, dont get me wrong, but I have to pick and choose which episodes are even worth watching. Simpsons just had a lot of hot and cold episodes all over the place, and not in just recent ones.
Futurama, I can safely watch any episode and expect the same amount or frequency of lols. It's like they have a perfect space of timing to make you laugh, where I watch the Simpsons, and some episodes just drag on forever to build up on one lame or half decent joke.

Anyways, I also enjoy the intelligence of Futurama's humor. I enjoy a lot of their subtle ones too. And the fact that the episode is very versatile between serious and funny, it keeps it interesting enough for me to never get bored. And nevermind the perfect time frame for the show being in the future and what not, which lets them stray extraordinarily far away from the repeating and generic jokes and comedy of the Simpsons or other cartoons today.
It truly was a one of a kind and as much as I wish they continued the cartoons, I'm just scared it'd get tainted anyways.

Sure they are still funny, but its just not as great as it used to be.

But lately i have found that Futurama is a lot funnier. Just the way they tackle pop culture so well.

Same. Futurama has a lot of more "new" slapstick comedy, sort of a new style. It's awesome.

Futurama all the way.
You can watch it over and over again and still find it funny (Y)
And it's got some great quoteable moments ;)

"Its just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. Then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns and also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?"

That seems to be the case with Family Guy now. At first the show was originally fresh and clever, but now it's just terrible. I absolutely hate Seth MacFarlane for butchering a show with great initiative.

I'd say Futurama currently is better than The Simpsons, but the older seasons of The Simpsons were simply the shit. Seriously, I must have seen every single older episode. Futurama is more for the intelligent viewer who will get some of the mathematical jokes, and Simpsons is for those who enjoy a good slapstick show.

Futurama, of course. Great jokes and timing. The characters are well developed, so they can create better plot lines with variations.

+1 for Futurama

Simpsons is bland unfunny shit 99% of the time. Futurama owns.

How can you even think to make the comparison?

If I had to watch a marathon of the Simpsons or kill myself, I'd choose the latter. I can't stand the commercials for that show and I gagged throughout when I was watching the movie. Futurama was a billion times better than anything the Simpsons did.
