Best place to find loose change? 2009-02-15 13:24:33 Reply

What place do you think is the best when looking for loose change?

Here's mine:

1) Area around the vending machine

2) Floor around the cash register

3) Near the bus stop (found a $20 bill once)

4) Movie theater

The easiest would be the first two since usually you can find few dollars worth of change around, quarters are rare however

Although I may be an olympic couch-diver, school hallways are places where I tend to find the most change. Oh, and vending machine slots.

Under those store's stocking walls or whatever it's called, and at cinemas it's also very good as i'ts dark and people don't find it after dropping the item.

Also, i find it on the middle of the street a lot, as people don't stop to pick it up in fear of being hit by a car.

I saw a £20 fly across the road infront of my car once, I chased that bastard for about 5 minutes until I could jump out and catch it.

Also I always find change in vending machines, or credit because someone forgot to buy something.

Cool, I'll check around those areas.

Try around a couch or a public seat that has a cushion. Somebody could've dropped pocket change around there, especially lazy family members. Also try your clothes dryer, there's bound to be some in there.

I've found a few dollars here and there.

Haha, if you pick up a penny in a public area round here, you usually get called a tramp.

Wishing well or any other place where people throw their wishes in the form of change. Depending on what they're made of, some coins may or may not be attracted by magnets.

Outside pubs and nightclubs in the morning. Especially on weekends. People come stumbling out of those places, drunk as hell, dropping their change everywhere.

Also, the areas where a fair has been recently.

In bars. My friend works as a bartender and he always finds some (moderate) amount of money when it is his turn to clean up

On school ground and in the hallways. Since the beginning of school this year, I have found $70.43 in loose change!

Kids at my school use coins as ammunition to throw around in their little skirmishes or to throw at me because they find it funny to watch me pick it up. Either that or it's the style to have holes in their pockets.

All you'll find is me bathing in that cauldron, except it's full of water, not gold.

You could find money at bank, which would be ironic if you got 100 in your currency. You'd be lucky enough to get $20 off the street in New York.

Hey, it's finders keepers when it comes to free cash.
It would be ironic if I found two $20 bills when I go out later.
