so tomorrow is the beginning of a long weekend, and i'm prepared to go on multiple L rides. the thing is, i'm trying to put together an amazing cd of songs that would just blow a mother fucker's mind when heard whilst stoned.

i've got 11 songs on the cd already, but was wondering if anyone here could recommend something that would go best on the disc. i've already searched through most of google, and i'm really trying to perfect this shit, so any help is pretty much appreciated.

yeah thanks and whatever<3

Bone Thugs N Harmony.

That's really all I can think of. I don't smoke, but I have a few friends that do, and they listen to them.

I know it sound really cliche, but Bob Marley's "Exodus" and "Stir it up" are excellent.

"Good music while high" is just as subjective as "good music while sober."

Anything dub step seems to go down quite well, prominently songs by Caspa and Rusko, just search either of them (Or both seeing as a few of their songs are done together) on youtube. Some of my favorites are; Bread get bun Cockney thug Cockney violin (although not everyone agrees with me on that one) and, just browse through their other stuff as well.

Others that have also worked out nicely;

Chase and status - Duppy Man

Skream - Midnight Request Line

Captain Jack - Heyo Captain Jack (lol, seriosly)

It all depends what mood your in, and what buzz you've got going. Also, mainly what music your into, i generally like anything i like the sound of. Here i mainly focused on dub step, don't ask why, i'm just in the mood for it :D

Hope this helped.

Know what blew my mind... listening to She Wants Revenge stoned... every songs sounded so similar I just couldn't tell when one song had ended and another had begun... it blew my mind. I was really blazed that night though.

That was the night I freaked and ran four or five blocks down the street to... than I threw up. Pot just hasn't had the same appeal since.

Try some hippy stuff from like the 60s that always works and is totally relevant to the situation something like long beautiful hair or intense peppermints.

I leave it to you to find the songs. Because, I am not going to do that for you you lazy head.

I would emphasize that variety is paramount.

There's an epic heavy metal album called Dopesmoker by Sleep which you might want to check out. I say epic, because the whole album is basically one song, that runs for about an hour.

hell yes I do (hopefully). I don't really know what you're into, but here's some stuff I love to listen to while I'm in that state:

for brain-metling:

- White Rainbow - Pulses (crucial, the best brain-metling song ever)
- Battles - Tonto, or Tras
- as well, pretty well any songs off of The Fifth Mission by Two Lone Swordsmen, but 'Switch It' is wicked.

for mellower:

- pretty well anything off of Geogaddi by Boards of Canada is goddamn incredible. My favourites though are 'You Could Feel the Sky', 'The Beach at Redpoint' '1969', and 'Julie and Candy'
- The American Analog Set - Using the Hope Diamond as a Doorstep (it's lighter, but it's really mellow and slick)

hip-hop (good stuff, not stupid shit):

- Metal Fingers/MF Doom/any of his other pseudonyms - this guy is incredibly prolific, and if actual rapping isn't your thing (like me), then listen to Metal Fingers, because he just has like all the Special Herbs albums which are just sampled hip-hop/funk songs that are instrumental.

for non-electronic stuff:

- For some reason Tawoumga by Champion, because of the groove of the song I guess.
- Bruce E. Kinesis by Do Make Say Think is one of my favourite songs ever, and not electronic in case you're not that into that kind of stuff.
- anything by Yeasayer off their album All Hour Cymbals, but especially 'waves'. It's psychedelic rock, but that doesn't really do it justice.
- Red Snapper is like jazzy trip hop, with a tinge of hip hop stuff, they're really good, check out the album Prince Blimey, or Making Bones

Hope that helps. I'd take the time to give a bit of a description for those artists, but it probably wouldn't be read anyway, and yes, I do spend too much time thinking about this.

I was just going to tell what this guy just told, but maybe add The Melvins, and Rosetta while you're at it.
