I'm a web designer and have used Swish for a while to create flash banners and such but at this point the program is limited for what my clients want and to be quite honest I always wanted to make a flash movie and to uploaded on newgrounds, I'm pretty good on illustrator/photoshop, just found my account today after 3 years, anyways, the question is, is there any technics to update myself on Swish(I know how to use scripting) or do I have to trash it and start fresh with flash and were are some good website where I can get decent tutorials?
Thank You.

I think that practically all users on this forum are using Adobe/Macromedia Flash, and very few seems to have experience from any other flash program. Perhaps this forum would be able to give you a better response?

I've heard a few companies, but as a web designer myself, flash cs4 is alot better to create loads of things. (e.g. http://www.websitessoeasy.com)
I would recommend buying flash, cause personally, I don't use Swish
me.addEventListener(Event.Whenever_
You_Move, function (e:Event):void { gotoAndSay("WTF?") } );
On. actionComplete(run);

I'd recommend getting Flash. I've used Swish on occasion because it's great for quick cool text effects, but it doesn't have a fraction of Flash's capabilities. If you want to make games or animations, you're going to need something more powerful than Swish

I appreciate your reply guys, I was hoping for an easier way out of this but I've been told flash is similar to Swish so I will give it a go. Back to reading tutorials and drinking lots of coffee.
Thanks.
