I looking for a book or series to read. i want a Fantasy book. now when i say that i mean not dragons and wizards and stuff like that. i mean Vampires, Werewolf, zombies and possibly ghost. I've read Harry Potter, the Eragon series and the Twighlight saga but i want a change... I also like Sci-fi and horror books.
Love and Hate, Give and Take, Fire and Ice, Day and Night. Opposites, indeed they are, but are opposites real in a world so small?~Me

If you want a book that will last you an age try Quicksilver by Neal Stephenson. It's the first book in his Baroque cycle trilogy.
It's him telling historical events (Sir Isaac Newton etc), but very beautifully done, and with very bizarre slants.
Or if you want something a lot easier try Northern Lights (Golden COmpass in America I think) by Philip Pullman.
Or something comedic try Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocolypse by Robert Rankin.

The harry potter books were nice and full of fantasy. A sunny concept... Also "V for Vendetta" is intriguing.

Ah, so you want to read books that are not waste of paper?
I suggest starting with Discworld series, start around mid way, Reaper Man, Guards! Guards!, Pyramids or Small Gods, perhaps. Then you could move towards Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, the Illuminatus Trilogy, and maybe then, some real books.
ok, that was a bit condesending, but seriously, read some classics, son.

you should check out Abarat by Clive Barker, I read it back in middle school and really liked it, and as far as I know there is also a sequel, there might be more as well.
I dropped out in the third grade, and spent all my time at the arcade.

Steven Kings Dark Tower series is probably more up his alley. I've only read the first 2 book so far, but those by themselves were epic. Shit's so bad ass it makes Harry Potter look like The Hardey Boys.

Well I know of a really good fantasy series. Have you read the wheel of time series by Robert Jordan? its not really fantasy like dragons and stuff like that, but its an extremely long series, and is quite cool. The first book is called eye of the world. also, try reading the book of three by lloyd alexander. Those are the only books i can think of now, and they are some of my favorites. just ideas...

How about Discworld? I know nothing about it, but I keep hearing people talk about it. Give that a try!

It is great, I really reccomend it to anyone who's interested in reading. Just, the first few books aren't quite as good as the later stuff, luckily you can really start anywhere you want, you don't need to know the events of prior books to understand later ones.

On the very rare occasion that I read I enjoy Lee Child's books. My favourite has to be Without Fail.

I'm reading this book right now, it's pretty good. It's called City Of Bones by Cassandra Clare. It has a lot of fantasy things and such. You should look at it.

Read Cell by Stephen King. It's not your ordinary zombie novel.

The Dark Tower series by Stephen King is a good choice. Clive Barker has made some really great horror work, too. His story, The Forbidden, was the inspiration for the Candyman films.
The Redwall series by Brian Jacques is another recommendation. A great action/fantasy saga...and not to mention it features talking animals! :D
