I'm actually a huge fan of Nonsequitor.
It's a little more political than Calvin and Hobbes sometimes, and no, I never noticed any similarities.

A comic with both humans AND anthropomorphic animals? SUCH a C&H ripoff. My GOD, WHAT is this world COMING TO?

Calvin and Hobbes was one of those comics, that were so well done, it's kind of easy to spot similarities.

Other than the snow and a kid making a pun about it, I can't say that looks like a ripoff.

Kind of looks like Calvin and Hobbes with the loud kid and sarcastic father, but from what I've seen it doesn't have the charm that Calvin and Hobbes has.

Hmm,I dunno.Maybe just me then.Just the whole arriving home to announce ''Winter has my permission to leave now' to a father who seems sick of gives me a Calvin vibe.

This one pretty much reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes too.

But I don't think one can be completely original anymore. Everything has been done a few times in a way. Like each platformer game can be called a mario rip-off and for every new movie there are tons of movies that can be said to be the original one.

Well Ill agree that 'rip off' was a bit harsh a word.

Non-sequitur has been around for a long time, too. Not as long as C&H, but they both are different, and NS is definitely not a C&H ripoff. :/

Yah, the attitude of the kid and the fathers sarcasm definitely give a Calvin and Hobbes vibe...

I can't say the whole comic is a rip off, put this one strip seems to have some pretty obvious influences.

I like Non Sequitor. It's pretty satrical, especially when it comes to plolitics (yea i know i said plolotics). I suppose the main girl and the horse kinda resemble it...

Besides, nothing can beat this:

That comic actually had a lot of other themes, although I'm not sure about it, as I no longer get it in my newspaper.
