I know it works to blur because I had them blurred before but I had to remove it to fix some things. Does anybody know why this could be happening?
strange problem, but make sure they are still blurred in the main timeline and make sure you are using at least flash player 8. and if you say they were working before, try undoing all the stuff you did, then slowly re do it and after each re-do, test it so you know what cased them to dissapear.
I get a problem with Filters a lot too! Try putting them into another Movie Clip, so the Movie Clip is composed of blurred objects itself.
If I offer to help you in a post, PM me to get it. I often forget to revisit threads.

So I found out that it's only the main Background that isn't blurring. Is there a certain size that it cannot be blurred at, because it's pretty big.
Uhm...you did make that background a MC didn't you?
Yeah, I did. It's blurred in the timeline, just when I publish it it's not blurred anymore...
Well then.....did you make sure the background MC is the only one in the layer? Or are there various MC's in one layer? I know all these are dumb things.....but I'm just trying to help :P

Yeah, I did all that, but I found the problem. Apparently the background was too big and I guess flash couldn't handle blurring the whole thing or something.
